Tennant is still my favorite. My buddy asked me once if the TARDIS materialized in front of me and he stepped out holding out his hand would I squeal like a little girl. I said ABSOLUTELY YES!
11 is my absolute favorite. His imaginary friend energy and his physical comedy won me. I also think his seasons had the best storylines, I love that he was so geared toward children and also adults who'd lost their childhoods.
However you look at it, it just doesn't make sense, for example if the Doctor had countless regenerations, why did they a need a new regeneration cycle after the 11th. The fugitive Doctor is the biggest plot hole in Doctor Who and I'd really like that whole thing to be retconned. It doesn't respect the story, it changes things way too much. You can't just change 60 years of built up story like that. We know who the Doctor is, they really need to stop changing things just for the sake of change. If it's not broken don't fix it
@JJones I love the fugitive Doctor's personality and wish they'd give her her own season!
That said, I'm kind of disappointed at how regenerating has become such the main part of the plot line of late, when it was originally just an "in universe" way to explain a new actor taking the role (I guess I'm glad they didn't do that with James Bond or Batman)
@JJones Yeah I was just goofing around with The Doctor thing. Pretty soon our PPS channel will be running a Doctor Who marathon and I will be sure to watch it. Cheers!
Tbf I thought Christopher Ecclestone had some mileage in him but he only lasted a season. David Tennant was superb, and I also had a soft spot for Sylvester McCoy for some reason. Matt Smith was fine, but then I lost interest.
@SW-User I liked Sylvester McCoy. I wish he could have gotten another season as they were just moving away from the censorship being imposed on them that made Colin Bakers run so troublesome for them.
