Strange since most shark attacks happen within 3 feet of water...

@Thevy29 yeah those small nurse sharks that bite into an arm and won’t let go. The newscaster always laugh when they show the story.

My older cousin was on Holiday in Malta with his mam and dad . His dad taught him to scuba dive and they went out in a boat and swam down .A great white came into view then turned and disappeared they got back onto the boat just in time as the sharks fin showed as it swam past the boat.

Never had such a problem. Yet there never was really a shark issue here. Attempted to learned to scuba dive around 15. Couldn't afford to finish the lessons. Dad made an issue of it. Knowing very well how good at swimming I was at the time.😞
Could swim three laps of a medium size pool under water without coming up for air.

The last vacation I had, in 1988, was to Florida and I couldn't get up the nerve to go into the ocean until the last day I was there. And I had never seen Jaws. Just the idea of it was scary enough!
