The third ex went through a HUGE one. It never ended.
First he started perming his hair. THEN he bought a red sportscar till he wrecked it.
THEN he bought a cheap pair of very stretchy MC Hammer pants at Walmart, gray with purple and green and yellow patterning, and started wearing them out in PUBLIC. For about 20 years.
He bought a Suzuki motorcycle, and when he looked really fat and ridiculous riding it when viewed from the rear, I encouraged him to buy a Harley.
After buying the Harley, he decided he didn't look ridiculous ENOUGH, and bought himself a pair of white plastic women's cat's eye sunglasses, and a black bucket helmet for the motorcycle. Picture that with the 20 year old MC Hammer pants...and you get the idea.

I hope if he does or did have one, it was minor. He does have to supplement his testosterone now, probably because I keep draining it out of him. But I know he didnt like that and it bothered him for a while. We are a very active couple in love and neither of us have the time or desire to sit around and wonder or lament "what might have been" with someone other than each other like so many middle-aged couples tend to do.

My older sister was a teenager in the 70's. They used to buy their jeans one size too small, use talcum powder to put them on, go lay in the bath to soak them , then wear them till dry, so they were 'just' the right skin tight size .

It’s not gender specific, but generally some signs are attempts to look more youthful; losing weight or getting in shape, dyeing hair, dressing differently, possibly buying a more "youthful" mode of transportation (motorcycle, sports car)…
