I don't have any fears about death - none at all. What I do fear, or better stated is what I don't want is a prolonged death process that leaves me unable to care for myself - let me go out quickly and spectacularly - like as a heart attack so massive it literally blows up!

@antonioio there's a pain that comes before death sometimes so maybe I'm more afraid of living till I die in pain, but whatever the case is there is some fear in death; there's also a release

Sadly we distinguish and separate life and death..there is no separation in reality. It's all one process.

@Entwistle That is true, but all of my 70+ years have been focused on living. At some point, that focus will change to the process of dying, and I dread that, even if at the time, death might be a welcome friend.

How it may come about. If I could know that it wouldn’t be through violence, a horrible disfiguring accident or a lingering painful disease; that it would be peaceful and easy, I would likely be much less concerned.
