Improved Mental Health and Well-Being
When transgender people are accepted, they experience improved mental health outcomes. Reduced stigma and increased support can lead to lower rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies among transgender individuals. This, in turn, increases overall societal health and decreases healthcare costs associated with mental health crises.
Enhanced Diversity and Inclusion
Supporting transgender individuals fosters an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. This diversity enriches workplaces, communities, and educational settings by bringing in a variety of perspectives and experiences. Innovative solutions often stem from such varied viewpoints, leading to better problem-solving and creativity.
Economic Benefits
An inclusive society can see economic benefits as well. When transgender individuals can fully participate in the workforce without fear of discrimination, they can contribute more effectively to the economy. Supporting transgender rights can lead to increased productivity, talent retention, and a more robust economic landscape.
Strengthened Community Ties
Acceptance helps build stronger communities. When all individuals feel valued and respected, it fosters collaboration and mutual support. This sense of belonging can strengthen community ties, leading to increased civic engagement and participation in communal activities.
Reduced Discrimination and Violence
By promoting acceptance, society can work towards decreasing discrimination and violence against not only transgender individuals but also other marginalized groups. This can lead to a safer environment for all, reducing social tensions and enhancing overall societal stability.
Support and acceptance of transgender people contribute to a more equitable, diverse, and innovative society, benefiting everyone by creating a culture of understanding and respect.👍🏻

Acceptance of differences is something that creates diverse societies and communities. Diversity breeds harmony and when we all feel safe to be ourselves, we have hit the emotional jackpot. That's square one of positive change. Which we've tried to do over and over.
The 99 year old I know understands inclusion very well. My mother who would be in her 70's fought for it. So many people understand it's okay to be who we are.
And I don't know what posseses people to have an issue with who someone sleeps with or what clothes they wear or how someone looks at all. It's none of their business and weird that they think they can control how someone else lives their life.

More an issue of INCLUSION. Every society benefits when everyone is included in the society.
Why the removal of DEI by Trump's executive order was such a human rights violation.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion should have been a constitutional amendment as basic human rights.

Like many religious people say, "We're all God's children."
If that statement has any strain of truth in it, then can we not allow people to live their lives in peace?

Supporting people for who they are and want to be as long as they aren’t hurting anyone is what would we should strive towards and accepting the trans community is a step towards that
Softandsweet2 · 31-35, F
We all benefit when we understand that a person doesn’t need to be just like us in order to be a good person. Doesn’t matter if he’s gay, transgender, or republican.

@Softandsweet2 Your last sentence is the chef’s kiss. 👍

I have to believe a more tolerant, empathetic society has to a more pleasant place to live than the current state we're in.
Ozdharma · 61-69, M
I think more broad minded humanitarians that support transgender people will improve society through better acceptance of others. Transgender people are normal human beings.

I believe in the philosophy that if we’re not all well, then none of us is well. How hard is it to call people what they want to be called?

Society benefits from inclusion and empathy. It is much more positive to spend energy on understanding our neighbours that it is thinking up ways to criticise and exclude them.

Society doesn't benefit in any way. We tolerate it

It depends. Do we migrate that same hateful energy to a different minority group or do we spend that energy on discussing real solutions to problems instead of finding people to blame?
Alyosha · 36-40, M
How?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Politicians wouldn't be able to use them as a political weapon anymore. That would be a huge step forward.
layyayyay · 13-15, F
the world would be a better place if we all got along.

Genuinely shocked that the bigots on here seem to be the minority on this post
Also everything has already been said by others

@EBSVC That is more to do with the algorithm. It limits everyone's feeds based your interests, groups, friends and followers with a few other tweaks like popularity, past interactions and so forth.

Accepting people allows them to be most productive benefiting everyone
Pfuzylogic · M
Isn’t this pre-trump politics?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic It really wasn't an issue until Trump's second term among most of them. They still are supporting each other now. I've seen the various minority parts here group together and demonstrate even recently.
I fully support that infact. And if you ever want to get rid of this fascist regime you will now have to support it as well. Everyone needs to get together now the most.
Now it's one for all and all for one or nothing.

@DeWayfarer I disagree with that. Just because I don’t like the current regime doesn’t mean I am forced to run into the dichotomy that LGBTQ+ is a forced choice. We differ there.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic then this will continue if not with Trump then with whomever else.
As is even impeachment and conviction of both Trump and Vance would change nothing. Mike Johnson would take their place.
Everything in DEI is gone already. Johnson would restore nothing. He couldn't afford to. Nor would or could Vance if he managed to survive any trial.

@smileylovesgaming Not sure if gender dysphoria is actually a mental illness itself. I think it can lead to depression though. Is having breasts of radically different sizes a mental illness? How about vaginismus, low libido, PMS, or E.D.? PMDD on the other hand is considered to be a psychiatric disorder but that is treatable.

they will never because it's a false gender and a perversion of the sexes

All the sane people would be gone. I guess that would be good for those who want to live in a mad, mad world.

1) Conservative media isn't able to use trans panic to promote their awful policies.
