im generally pretty happy for the holidays

Probably myself, lol. Every year I promise myself I will start shopping earlier, so I'm not so stressed out doing last-minute rushing around, but I never manage it. I'm always still rushing on Christmas Eve. I am getting better about accepting it, though, so I guess that's progress! 😄

Wishing for things that aren't there. Intangible things that don't exist.

The obsession with gifts ..

The worst of us come out during these times, with expectations and through this is a display of our poorest behaviour. All during a time we are to be celebrating our Lord & Saviour's Birth.

Neither of my siblings will initiate coordinating the annual family dinner. Not even when I'm in the hospital apparently. I guess they don't care now that dad is gone?

It never lands right so I can have a good Christmas anymore.

All I want is one year with good food, decent company (I miss going to my mother's) and a decent amount of gifts for everyone. Preferably not rushed at the last minute to the point I'm exhausted.

I'm more than happy to see people's faces as they open their gifts from me.

I've only just noticed it this year. The endless parade of sick and crippled children and animals in ads begging for support. ENOUGH!

Religion and greed. The most evil things that have ever happened to this pitiful broken planet. And Christmas is all about both.

It's not how I remember it like full of festive activities. Or was it just me being a kid? Idk.

Arguments and quarrels if there are any. Usually when someone wants to relax and someone else wants them to do all kinds of things.
Also weather. There used to be snow on Christmas when I was a kid.

Conversing. With family. My family members cant have good conversations and im an introvert. So it socially drains me.
