Neither of my siblings will initiate coordinating the annual family dinner. Not even when I'm in the hospital apparently. I guess they don't care now that dad is gone?
daydeeo · 61-69, M
@Starcrossed That does make a difference.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@daydeeo the last several years it has fallen on me to arrange. Now that our dad passed I don't know if they don't want to bother anymore 😕

@Starcrossed People do have a talent for disappointing others. It hurts more at Christmas.
dubkebab · 56-60, M
@Starcrossed But you get magic elf points for being a grownup and trying to slog on with keeping priceless family traditions intact. *passes peace pipe.
Tell them if they don't wise up yer gonna go gift out soup and hot chocolate to the unhoused down at the bus terminal. Maybe that'll ring a few bells.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@dubkebab I've been sick anyway, I wouldn't be able to meet with them probably until after new years at this point.
