JR Vanguard was meant to be a stage name cause I played guitar growing up
I wanted to keep my actual initials of JRV but without giving away my last name
In a very 6 degrees is separation way my last name does mean guard but it’s not something anyone could ever piece together

FreakLikeMe is the name of a song by a hard rock band named Halestorm. One of the lines in the song goes, "So write your name in gasoline, and set that shit on fire!"
It's like giving the finger to anyone who criticizes you because you dare to be different. I totally understand being different. That's why I took it for my screen name.

Most new user names are just alts of the names you know. Its a cesspool of profile inbreeding.

Mine is the Cornish word for mermaid. Dad called me it when he taught me how to swim.

My profile photo, well I been using that photo under many screen names going all the way back to Microsoft Windows 98

From America On-online to Yahoo Chat and to now. It's one of my favorite photographs

Mine came to me after a big storm and alot of the boats tied to the docks in the marina broke loose and went adrift.
Some of them were recovered and others were forgotten and were just kind of left to drift and run aground in random places.
At the time I was feeling a bit alone and directionless myself.

I nearly bought a Humber Super Snipe in my EP days - didn't in the end (big old cars have their own sets of problems) but the name kind of stuck!

After killing my old account off I needed new name and I'm old and a Brit. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I fell into mine when i began caring for vastly underrated critters who get a horribe rep and deserve to be loved and respected

Mine has been my nickname for as long as I can remember because I’m a Jr., same name as my dad 😂 I think maybe I’ll change it to echo 😂

I picked my username for a couple of reasons. Nanoose was a word that was used by the aboriginals in the Nanoose Bay area a couple of hundred years ago – it meant “friendly”. So I thought it would make a good username. I also picked my username because it was my nickname at the Rod and Gun tavern in Parksville. At that time I lived in Nanoose Bay - my real name was a very common one so to avoid confusion they called me Nanoose. Cheers!

It’s my first name and my last name

It's from my favourite comedy sitcom Fawlty Towers. Basil Fawlty was the lead character played by John Cleese.

When I was first starting out in Wicca (I have since graduated to a somewhat more mature eclectic pagan practice), I wanted to shout it to the heavens. So of course the word magick had to be part of my name. And because I like wearing black clothes, I thought it would be amusing to reference that. And thus was born my original username, DarkMagickan. (Note the spelling, popularized by Aleister Crowley.)

I thought that username was so cool that I used it on my PlayStation Network account, which of course means it was my username on PS Home, Sony's attempt at creating a social MMO network. And that was where I discovered two things. One, there was a Yu-Gi-Oh! card called Dark Magician, and two, people can't spell. Everybody assumed my name was a Yu-Gi-Oh! reference, which to a creative type is basically saying, "You are an unoriginal hack with no creativity whatsoever."

And so, when I discovered Ask Yahoo!, which later became Yahoo! Answers, I wanted a name that still kind of captured the essence of DarkMagickan, but that wouldn't cause Yu-Gi-Oh! geeks to run up and yell random things like "Blue Eyes White Dragon!" Shadow can be considered a synonym for darkness, and fire is basically raw energy in its wildest form.

The prefix Lord came later, because I just thought it fit.

My username is a nickname my university women's gymnastics team gave me when we were all about 18 years old and freshly graduated from high school. I'll give you just two guesses as to why they gave me that nickname...
