I turned 80 in December and I'm loving it! You know what's great about being old-er? You can look back and say wow... I'm so glad I stopped being a people pleaser long ago. It's the most freeing thing in the world. It's not about looks. We should love and respect ourselves enough to love ourselves no matter what our age or what we look like. But I'll never forget the secret. Stay active. Over 10 years ago when I really got serious with exercising, it took 10 years off my looks and my skin just glowed, so keep exercising and take good care of yourself. If you have great looks but little health, you'll choose good health every time. It matters what we feel like and if we feel good. That's what counts. It makes for a healthy mind and a happier life. I've learned that people are not so hung up on looks as we think they are. I may be older, but I find that people are even more accepting even if I'm not beautiful. Hahaha I think beauty comes from the inside, not the outside. Beauty is, as beauty does and that's what makes for a happy life. Happiness doesn't come in finding it. It comes from choosing it. As long as we're happy that's all that matters and that may look like something else to someone else, but what matters is what it looks like to us. It doesn't matter who accepts us, as long as we love and accept ourselves, and we should. That's what happiness is built upon. Making the right, important choices, not putting on errors for approval. I've actually seen people that some would say were not attractive at all, yet their personality makes them feel so beautiful to us and they've truly are. Beauty fades eventually, but that's okay because the beauty, the true beauty, lies within us and how we treat ourselves. I love that I don't have to be perfect and people love me anyway. They just do but the most important thing to me is that I love the way that Jesus loves me and accepts me, flaws and all. I am perfectly happy that way. But I'm also glad that I learned from my mistakes and grow each day in him. When people put on a play for others, they're just hurting themselves. They are not authentic and life calls for genuineness, especially in oneself. Honesty is a must.

Aging is really weird - I'm 66 now and I still relate to my 20-30 yo self, but have a lot more experience...so overall I like where I'm at. As far as appearance, I'm probably more settled with how I look now than when I was younger, even though I look older....most people say I haven't changed...believe me I have...you look great, just keep taking care of yourself and you will continue to look great.

You still look really beautiful though. Aging has been weird for me. I started graying quite a bit in my beard and more and more on my head. I'm told I look 5 years or so younger by some but I feel like I look 40 now haha

I get told I look younger than 46. Some days I believe it, some days I don't. Lol

I have more wrinkles than I expected to have at this age and yes, I also feel like they appeared all of a sudden. I noticed it last summer on my selfies when I smiled.
I look at myself and see a woman, not a girl anymore.

Aging is getting to me the past year or two since my wife's dementia became obvious. I look in the mirror and feel I just look so tired and worn these days.
