Cervical spine exercises as prevention. Being mindful of the position of your head and jaw and re-adjusting it to relieve pain. Ibuprofen, diclofenac and time.

You need a mouth guard like what football players wear. Put it in before sleep. It prevents you from putting pressure on the joint.

Mines not that bad. My jaw locks up sitting at the dentist sometimes but its fine. Id just say advil, massage and focus on relaxing your face more often.

There was a tongue exercise the doctor gave me.
Shut mouth. Touch the tip of your tongue to your teeth and slowly bring it as far back along the top of your mouth as you can then slowly open mouth. Repeat 3-6 times. 3x daily.
