It shouldn't be that difficult to choose. Or is it. Which one do you prefer overall. Are you down for some Italian fettuccine.. 😛 I pick Chinese. Sorry. Best answer wins.☺ 🍝 🍜
I am assuming you are American as I am also. Now, Chinese food is too broad a label. The Chinese food you get at your favorite American Chinese take out place is in no way like the Chinese food you'd get in China. I know this because I have been to China several times. I am also assuming that the Italian food you get here in the USA is quite different from what you'd get in Italy. (I've never been to Italy.) As for my preference, it would depend on what I'm in the mood for. If I want sauce and cheese, it's got to be Italian as there is no such thing as cheese used in Chinese food. (Although I have been known to put parmesan cheese on fried rice...it's pretty good.) Chinese are big on veggies, tofu, and a variety of seafood dishes, but I like their soups and bbq pork. As for which is best.....it's a tie for me.
@IM5688 Forget specifics sir. There are Chinese restaurants in my area that would make you blush. And I am not even going to talk about the Thai ones here. Some are 4.8 rated on Google reviews and even that's being modest. Great food is great food. Yes the US has some of the best food on Earth. Authentic or not. ☺
@IM5688 You are correct, the "Italian food" served here in the U.S. is much different than in Italy! We have been to Italy a couple times and have traveled to small towns outside the main tourist destinations. The best meal we had un Rome was in a Chinese restaurant! It was so good, we went back again! It is a block away from the Trevi Fountain!
Italian wins, in terms of volume, by a landslide. However, because I only have Chinese about every two months, I enjoy those meals more, especially the leftovers.
@Zonuss I probably have Italian 20 times as much as Chinese. That’s what I meant by “volume.” It’s also what makes the Chinese more interesting/fun/tasty…
Italian for me. I dont order Chinese anymore. I will.order Vietnamese food before Chinese. I used to like chinese alot .The last time i ordered chinese food, it was terrible. That turned me off all together.
@helenS If you slice it and cook it with that intent it is easily done .. no different than strips of beef in mongolian beef, which are done using ... voila .. a knife
