What did your parents do for a living?

My father was a cook/chef in commercial catering all his life. Trained in the Cambridge colleges before the war. Served in WW2 in Burma in the RAF in a field kitchen. Migrated to Oz as a member of the British Olympic team support crew for the Melbourne Olympics in 1956 and walked straight into a major hospital kitchen after that. Worked there for many years, running the place, then moved to the State Electricity Commission planning and advising on commercial kitchens in building projects. Won a award in the hotel olympics in the commercial catering division that got him a trip to Switzerland and was part of an SEC team sent to Darwin after cyclone Tracy to rewire the whole city, using his WW2 canteen experience.The military in charge there had him stay a couple of weeks after the rewiring as his set up was basically feeding every rescue/rebuilding team there, until the army could get organised. Then he returned to the SEC. passed away in 1978. My Mother was basically his wife the whole time.😷

I don't remember what my mum did as she stopped working when I came about. Dad worked in insurance (he had his own business in Sydney) and later went into real estate.

Both are deceased. Mum in Dec 2020, Dad some time in 2011/12. Dad cheated on mum and had affairs pretty badly in my early childhood - he used to fight with mum a lot and came home drunk from work often - that's the only set of things I remember about them before divorce in 1980. I don't have much if any positive happy memories from my birth in 1968 up to their divorce and subsequent toxic family blow-up shite.

He worked for Zenith while I was young. Then he went on to setting up at flea markets (rough times). Then he became a maintenance man, later the lead maintenance man for a big name realty company. That was his last job and it wore his body down.

The only occupation I know that my mom had is illegal in 49 US states.

My step dad was president of the Postal Union for a while, then he worked in a few Post Offices after that. My mother never did anything with her life except make everyone else miserable. She moved to Australia in 1991 and I think worked with her husband down there.

My Dad was an engineer and i followed him, and my mum is an housewife and worked part time cleaning.

My mom inherited money so she didn’t have to work. And My dad was a mortgage broker/lender for like the longest time. Then they divorced and stopped being a broker just to start his own landscaping business and mow lawns lol

My dad was a chemist for our government. My mom was a homemaker, then worked various jobs but then ended up working in an apartment as a rental agent.

My dad worked at a tractor factory for thirty plus years and my mom had a few different jobs.

Teaching. Both taught English language, my mom still does dad is retired.

They were both teachers. Art and automotive

Finance and medical receptionist.

Dad was an accountant and mom was an admin assistant for an investment broker.

Dad was a salesman and my mom was the clerk of court
