What did your parents do for a living?

Waitressing and bartending at several bars over the years is what my mom did and still does. My dad well who the heck knows I don't know that man

When I was growing up, "moms" usually didn't have outside jobs. I don't recall any. She worked hard every day as a mother, and valued as such, always keeping everything in order and running right, taking care of the house and us kids. She had a hard full time job and was loved and respected. It was good to have her home. I loved the structure that provided for us. I think kids need that and we've lost a lot of that, being pressured to work outside the house to make ends meet these days. It's a shame. Dad was an accountant. He never missed a day of work in all the years he worked. Both hard-working people. Respectful.

@LadyGrace My mom had me when she was in her teens she didn't have much of a choice unfortunately. I couldn't have imagined her as a stay at home to be honest because she's just so cranky. I valued my freedom sometimes when she was at work
