Waitressing and bartending at several bars over the years is what my mom did and still does. My dad well who the heck knows I don't know that man

My mother was an elementary school teacher. After many years, she took a sabbatical and got a Master's Degree and then went back to work as the school's remedial reading specialist, which she found much more sane than classroom teaching.
My father had an MBA and was a production supervisor for a large linotype company. He left there to become a contracts analyst for the production of the Apollo lunar landers, and after that he switched careers completely and was a probation officer until he retired.
