What's one example of how racism is institutionalized in the US?

wildbill83 · 36-40, M
mostly black people

mostly white people

It's "okay" for blacks/black groups to loot, riot, commit arson, assault people, etc. because it's all they ever do, to the point that it's expected, so it's deemed "normal"/"peaceful" for them...

But whites are expected to remain compliant, and the instant any of them show anger or displeasure, they're deemed an extremist/domestic terrorist

Now I'm sure some people on here will start calling me a nazi, racist, etc. for point out the above; but I've never looted a local business, set police cars on fire, attacked random bystanders, etc. because I didn't get my way... so who's the real racist?

@wildbill83 So....I see that based on a couple of comments, you can flawlessly determine whether I am a simp to @foldedunfolding. That being the case, you should have more than enough information to decide if I am her simp. So, am I her simp?I'm just dying to find out!
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@originnone no, I had no problem with you or your comments until she showed up and chastised you for liking my comment. I even defended you by stating "maybe he's not a simp".

Then for reasons unknown, you began attacking me 🤷🏻

So my question to you is this: do you simply agree with your friends on subject, and defend their attacks on another user when they state no opinion of their own simply because they're your friend; or are you not allowed to have an opinion of your own without their approval? 🤔
originnone · 61-69, M
@wildbill83 Well, I did misread your one comment, so that's on me. But.....I would really like to be her simp, and she sounds open to it, so I'll land there. It's all good!

So much fanatic obsession with skin color. Why do we never hear about all the mixed race families where nobody gives a sh"" about the skin color? Doesn't suit the preferred narrative of some folks, perhaps? Lots of families where he's not Uncle Bob who's black, he's just plain old Uncle Bob.

@graphite before obama race relations were improving. He set us back 50 years
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Patriot96 "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

The regressives biggest flaw; they have no character, they can't achieve a favorable result on that trait alone (and they know it), so they try to empassion everything with platitudes and hyperbole (make everything about race/color)

School to prison pipeline is an easy one.

Students with large black populations are heavily policed. Black students are arrested at a far higher rate than white students for identical crimes, and their punishments are harsher. Private prisons fill their cells, and then sell the labour of the inmates they "recruited" directly out of high schools.
@Straylight In Oregon, they are. In fact, we just voted to rewrite the Constitution so that slave labor in prisons isn't legal.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@specman well, just judging from pre-legalisation of marijuana, black kids got harsher sentences for possession, use or sale than white kids.
specman · 51-55, M
@basilfawlty89 in America? How many priors?
calicuz · 51-55, M
Welfare, Food Stamps, and Housing Programs.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
Minority neighborhoods are over policed.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@specman You are trying to justify over policing by pretending to be too stupid to understand what the word "over" means.
Slade · 56-60, M
@GlitterEater and what is the perfect amount of policing that they can never go above?
specman · 51-55, M
@GlitterEater no. I was thinking there was too much presence of the police and too much enforcement.
Did you mean something else?
Often, the lack of ability for a native born black person to receive a bank loan, as opposed to an immigrant.

The fact that segregation still exists, resources provided to public schools in largely white areas vs. black areas.

On a personal level, the fact that black people are profiled in a way that whites will never be, by law enforcement, financial institutions, businesses, etc.
@bijouxbroussard Recently there is a push to turn public school libraries into detention centers. In black and brown areas.
originnone · 61-69, M
@Slade no example, eh?
Slade · 56-60, M
@originnone you are the example.
originnone · 61-69, M
@Slade making a lot of assumptions, right?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
On applications you sometimes must name your ethnicity
specman · 51-55, M
@Queendragonfly some are not statistically motivated like others
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@specman And why do we need to know the statistics of how many black people who ____

Verses white people ?
specman · 51-55, M
@Queendragonfly So are government can document. As proof of things and they ask that of all applicants not just black people not everything is about being racist.
The US itself stands on stolen land and consists of mostly European caste offs of the hated communities they removed. The complete denial is a magical and all pervading kind of racism.
specman · 51-55, M
@Roundandroundwego what’s sad for you is if you aren’t from America 🇺🇸 surely you know we have been and are the current #1 super power..
@specman only a true American. But you da conservatives. The true killers. We're definitely not you.
specman · 51-55, M
@Roundandroundwego No you’re below us. You look to America for protection. So go ahead and talk all that bs. You obviously want to be an American. Hell you probably feel good just to say America 🇺🇸. So go back under the rock where you come from and know that America is and always be the greatest nation on earth. We are the main guardian of the free world! I’m proud to be American.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
pleaaaase be my simp @originnone please please please give me what i want this time 🤣🤣🤣 i cant even see his responses bc i blocked him..i was losing brain cells. you have known thid guy ten years??
originnone · 61-69, M

foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@originnone aww all i know is..i want a CAR
When people are publicly racist against a group of people, they're widely condemned, unless they're being racist against white people. Then it's either celebrated or ignored.
@specman So you know how in video games there are Non-Playable Characters who just repeat the same lines over and over without thinking for themselves?
That's an NPC.
specman · 51-55, M
@BohemianBoo that's not me

rural white America is far more tolerant of blacks (or any minority) than vice versa...

I live in a rural predominantly white southern area, there are exactly 3 black people in my entire community, one lives just across the way from my backyard. I know them all and get along with all of them just fine.

On the other hand, lets drop a white person in a urban neighborhood that's predominantly black (i.e. queens, detroit, etc.); how far do you think they'll make it before they're verbally attacked (or assaulted & mugged for that matter)?

Ever notice how cities (especially those in the north) are full of neighborhoods that are segregated; it's always a high percentage of some ethnicity, very rarely an even mix. And the crime statistics reflect that

That don't exist here, the minorities in this county/area aren't confined to a certain area, they live all over the place mixed in with the white population

It's amusing to me that when people argue about racism/intolerance, that they only mention the south, which in reality is the least segregated; while they virtue signal from an area that is heavily segregated... 🤔
Slade · 56-60, M
@wildbill83 go to Milwaukee, you'll never see a more segregated city. Blows away Boston
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
let's start with the smile react on this post
originnone · 61-69, M
@foldedunfolding oh...you have those vip rights! LOL
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@originnone you cant see that someone laugh reacted?
originnone · 61-69, M
@foldedunfolding I guess I can. I don't pay attention to them...in part because I don't know what that one means....the one with the squinted eyes that looks like someone just gave it a flu shot....
I hope when the US war starts the coverage is in HD.
