What's one example of how racism is institutionalized in the US?

So much fanatic obsession with skin color. Why do we never hear about all the mixed race families where nobody gives a sh"" about the skin color? Doesn't suit the preferred narrative of some folks, perhaps? Lots of families where he's not Uncle Bob who's black, he's just plain old Uncle Bob.

@graphite because so many institutions still exist that have built in discriminatory practices. One easy example is how gerrymandering is still used to keep black people away from taking control of certain institutions that directly affect them.

@originnone Where would that be? Anytime this happens, it goes to court and the redistricting is tossed out. Looks like you're grasping at straws trying to find any "institutional racism" to keep the lead balloon floating. What about Asian kids scoring 4.0 in high school and nailing the SATs but denied admission into premier schools because of supposed "overrrepresentation?" My local newspaper always talks about how white people have more education and money than black people or Latinos. Funny how they leave out Asians/Indians, who are miles ahead of the white people as far as education and money. Doesnt fit the preferred narrative.

@graphite I could provide several examples of gerrymandering, but I'm not sure you'd accept it. The Supreme Court has actually found the practice to be constitutional, leaving the burden of proof on the people who are harmed.....

@originnone Keep that lead balloon floating. The Left refuses to acknowledge any progress in fixing problems of the past. Doesn't fit the narrative, We had a black president elected twice but apparently that didn't prove anything.

@graphite We did have a black president elected twice....but there are other examples of racism tucked inside our institutions. I identified only one.

@Patriot96 "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

The regressives biggest flaw; they have no character, they can't achieve a favorable result on that trait alone (and they know it), so they try to empassion everything with platitudes and hyperbole (make everything about race/color)
