I grew up with them.
As a young adult started using a puff/bodywash instead of washcloth and bar soap in the shower.
I still use a washcloth to wash my face in the sink or when traveling/camping.
I feel like soap doesn't properly rinse off with just hands and water.
When I have guests stay over I always leave out a washcloth along with hand and body towel.

Haven't had a bath or used a wash cloth in eons. Wait, don't run off thinking your elders were right.

I shower. Don't even have a tub anymore at my age, only walk-in showers with handy grab bars and the world's best shower mat that both grips the shower pan and provides a rough, loufa surface for traction. And I use body wash instead of soap, which is easier to put on with hands than wash clothes, imho.

Born in '52, I grew up with wash cloths.
As an adult in my mid 20s at the time, used a buff- puff, which I use today. During all these years, went through using a variety of soaps and body washes, and now in my 70s, go with Ivory soap, and buff-puff as needed for face and neck.

No washcloth. Soap and hands (face, pits, bits, torso, legs, bum), or shampoo and hands (for head and other hairy bits).

I don't use 'fancy' soap. I'm mindful that the skin always has a mix of good and bad bacteria and 'sterilising' using fancy soaps, body washes and many shampoos if over-used leaves skin less protected and more open to being a vector for infection(s).

Most of my life, washcloths. Frequently they were created by cutting up towels that were too proud to die but too ragged to dry. Now gloves and body wash.

I don’t recall ever discussing washcloths with anyone.

Idk about other white folks but I do use a washcloth now that I'm grown, but growing up it wasn't a thing in our household. I mostly use it to conserve soap and just move it lightly over my face then body. It's easy to over-exfoliate if I scrub too hard, especially my face.

Yes,it was the norm in my family growing up,washcloths - which we called "flannels" here in Australia - were always in the bathroom.

I used a washcloth growing up but as a single man I just use a bar of soap and body wash. A washcloth would be something else to wash. No need to create more laundry.

This was actually a topic of conversation years ago in my house. My dad prefers using a washcloth and mom does not.

I stopped using washcloths around 12 when parents stopped personally supervising my hygienic habits. Soap is different, recently I used Cocoa butter and really enjoyed it but I try to avoid becoming ng cheap on my hygiene!

Since I tore a rotator cuff, I use a long handle scrub brush. When we were on the cruise, unused a face cloth instead.

I'll use a washcloth when washing my face at the sink, but in the shower or tub I'll just use the bar of soap itself. SOMETIMES use a back-brush for my back. But pretty much just hands and either bar soap or a handful of moisturizing body wash.

I think most people just apply the soap directly in showers. I use a puff or whatever it's called.

I think the older white people are more prone to using bath clothes.

I grew up with and still use two washcloths. One for my face the other for my body. This, after I exfoliate using a dry brush with beta- hydroxy.

Yes that's true. We normally use sea urchins to bathe.

I cant speak for all the Caucasians but I was always taught to use a wash cloth by my parents and grandparents.

I used one of those exfoliating sponges to get my circulation going, but I had a wash cloth as a kid.

They dont really serve mjch purpose honestly. I get it back in the day when people typically bathed only once a week and just cleaned up witb a cloth and bowl of water in between. But in shower times hands work just fine

I think nearly all white people use washcloths in the shower. All my family does. If we visit friends they always lay out towels and washcloths.

Pretty much all the households have it here, though I'm not sure we're considered properly white 😵‍💫

I don't think its a cultural thing, mostly an age thing.

I have never used a whitecloth, I mean washcloth, but my wife does and she is almost as white as I am.

I have a natural loofah sponge, but you could shower with a white person and see what they do 😛
