I feel "Trump Gulf" would a much better choice.
Or we could rename the month "August" (named after emperor Augustus) to "Trump". June-July-Trumpmonth-September. Trumpmonth, the golden month. Wouldn't that sound beautiful?

the gulf of Mexico was drained and refilled with the gulf of America.

Seriously - we just shrugged and keep calling it what we grew up calling it

When I was a kid, thought the Gulf of Mexico was a golfing league.

Nowadays I know that "gulf" and "golf" are two different things entirely.

Phonetically, they sound the same, but written, they're two different words.

It never existed in the first place.
Had to move it, Tarrif

I've not heard the name since the initial flurry. I suppose it's just been quietly forgotten as one of Mr. Trump's more eccentric follies.

His new name for the Gulf of Mexico never had any official standing, as re-naming a sea area surrounded by more than one country requires the consent of all the coastal countries.

I think it turned into the Gulf of Disbelief...

Under Biden they passed a law that you couldn't drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico so Trump renamed it and immediately opened up the drilling. Oil is now flowing. Any other questions?

No one is talking about it because it NEVER existed

@Ferise1 Presumably the "international map platforms" are not really international, but American-owned, so having to obey the President.

It's long been common for huge US-owned businesses with branches or assets overseas to call themselves "international".
