Being a millionaire would be good I think. I could afford to retire by my retirement age instead of having to work past it for 15-20 years as is common here.
@Longpatrol When I first started in security in the early 00's, I worked with an 83 year old WW II combat Veteran that had to go back to work because the Enron scandal wiped out his entire retirememt portfolio.

@Longpatrol Who, What Where?
No.. a billionaire..
helenS · 36-40, F
No I don't want to be a millionaire, "for the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10).
Money causes sorrow (fear of loss).
I'm a land owner, not a money owner, and money does not grow on trees.
Apples and walnuts, on the other hand, do grow on trees 😋

@helenS This is serious money to the right people. By the way, it's the LOVE of money, NOT money itself 🙄So YES it does grow on trees, well, bushes.

Nope, I have no interest in being rich. My life would be ruined if I was.
I'm happy being being poor and staying poor. It's the life I know

@HumanEarth 👍🏼

Only so I could help a few out. I have enough of what I need and have always saved money for a rainy day.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@meggie The same with me.
Iwillwait · M
Sure, yes, all it would mean is (hopefully) I start saving for retirement.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Cash or asset wise
Jackhoff · 46-50, M
Working on it.
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
It would be nice to be rolling in it. I'd have more money to give to people and then I'd be able to buy farmland for sale and turn it into nature preserves
Blondily · F
Yes it would make life a little bit nicer but Id leave most of it to my daughter
Sevendays · M
Oh alright. When will you be sending the money?
I'd give most of it away
beermeplease · M
@MarbleMarvel we've always been good, right? 😊

I don’t think so.

Yes money is nice to have.
uikakarotuevegeta · 26-30
I can easily become a theoretical millionaire after incorporating and granting myself stock options, and it's completely legal to do so nor would I be taxed if I don't exercise nor sell the shares.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Who says I'm not? In urban California that's pretty much what is needed for basic survival above living paycheck to paycheck and giving all your money to a landlord..
JohnOlinger81 · 41-45, M
Yes
4meAndyou · F
Yes. Being a millionaire in Massachusetts means that at least half of it will disappear in taxes, but having $500,000 would be almost enough to buy a house here and pay the taxes.
DressyAlex · 22-25, F
It's not a question I have had to answer to this point. As the heiress to a considerable fortune I have probably never NOT been a millionaire.
SophSmiles · 22-25, F
There’d be no point, I already have more than enough money to do everything I want and need so it would just sit in a bank.
Iwillwait · M
@SophSmiles You are very Blessed
HobNoblin · 36-40, M
Millionaire billionaire multi billionaire. I'd put the money to work. Medical research, inventing. I'm curious about accounts like retirement accounts that could be created to pay out to low income workers to fund things like insurance co payments, dental work and the like. Similar programs could upkeep rural roads. I'm also interested in fighting gentrification in the form of building codes and HOAs. Starting programs to educate people about property rights and exposing these scams.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
In the currency of my land, i already am.
I dont aspire to be a millionaire on Euros or Dollars.

I’ve never been motivated by money. 💰 if I did I’d probably give a lot away.
