I put them all outside, but only because the wife or daughter spotted it. If it was up to me, they would stay in the house. The reason is, they eat all those other bugs I don't want, like silverfish, ants, centipedes, fleas etc. Spiders are good creatures.

Depends on the species
Fishy · F
Depends on the spider,
If it's a daddy long-leg, or jumping spider, I just let it chill.
If it's a white tail, or redback, I smack the guts out of it

Depends on the day and weather outside. Somedays I’m kinder than others!
OogieBoogie · F
Hunstmen i take outside and put in the leaflitter under the trees.
The daddy long legs can stay, and Diana: the black house spider has lived in the laundry for over a year - shes in charge of bug control.

ArishMell · 70-79, M
I usually either them to do their good work, or set them free outside.
I notice from threads (!) like this quite a number of people admit to killing them, either from fear or simply to delight in doing so.

I often ignore it and let it go on its way. Unless it looks like a trouble maker., then it goes outside.
Morvoren · F
Now there’s no cats to eat them, we have a spider trap for catch and release.
JeanD123 · 56-60, F
I leave them alone mostly, or I catch and release them
ShaneMckay · 41-45, M

Sometimes, I throw the dude out, give him another chance. They eat ants, so I'm happy to coexist.
Sushi tends to eat it
bijouxbroussard · F
I have vaulted ceilings, so if it’s there I leave it alone. But if it’s down near me, I dispatch it. I’m allergic to bites.
Set it free
