A sense of pride in my being able to do something well and feeling needed and appreciated for that.

At work what is it that u do?

We produce material of glass and carbon but carbon has higher status due to the selling price. Am not too sure on figures but 100 meters of glass is worth £8,000 and 100 meters of Carbon about £40,000. So, we ONLY make the materials.

However as we work we think "work and go home." If we think "Thanks to me, somebody out there will get this material. Thanks to me a BMW drivers will have carbon on their roof. Thanks to me Princess Yachts will have glass material on their boats or yachts. Wow! I may not own a ferrari but in 1 year I produced 1000 meters carbon material for their wheels!" Positive thinking.

Negative thinking: Last shift is such an idiot. What do the office know? I do all the hardwork? I really don't wanna be here. I have no time for this! Why should I do those tasks?

It is up to us if we think negative or positive at work. Think positive u will start realising your worth and position at work.
I enjoy the time with coworkers and what I do but I would prefer to never work if I had the option.

Boiled down to the basics it's just a job where I do stuff for someone take them money and I get paid to do the tasks for them within a specific field.

I work to live not live to work. I appreciate the opportunity I have to do what I do where I do. But I appreciate my time more. I found a healthy balance I feel in life.

I do it mainly because it's something I can do at home or anywhere I want to and at any time I want, without real deadlines and absolutely independently with only dealing with 1 person through text messages and the current one is super nice. Sometimes it's also fun to do and I see progress in compare to 4-5 years ago.
I only work for the money, I don't love my job. It pays the bills, and it's not that stressful.

I get a paid exercise program. I have a tall building I can climb once a week or so. I get get to work with hot noisy dangerous machines... and that's kinda fun!

I learned a whole bunch of new stuff too, that's been cool.

Making a positive difference (both, directly and indirectly) in people's life is immensly satisfying and rewarding.

I’m passionate about my job and get a lot of satisfaction from it.
It's nice to be valued for what you do and how you do it.

When I worked, I was honestly a mercenary. I went wherever the money was. I was good at what I did and enjoyed aspects of it, but the money was always my priority when it came to work.

Helping people out. Like my client yesterday really needed a dental plan right away and I was able to help them. Feels kinda nice

A discount.

I'm tired of working for other people. I've been working nearly 30 years of my life now and I'm sick of it. It's been boring and pointless and only pulled me away from joy and connection.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ScreamingFox That discount was good that you got on those shoes.

Freedom compared with other jobs. Things are relatively flexible and I still get okay benefits. I can go for a run during my lunch break.
