How many tries did it take you to pass the drivers test?

I passed on the first try, although I pissed off the examiner.

All was fine until I came to the end of the test and parked the car. He said to pull up farther. There was a driveway up ahead and I didn't want to block it, so I just inched up a little. He kept telling me to go further, and got angrier and angrier. What I did not notice is that I had parked next to a tree on the passenger side. Finally he shouted, 'How am I supposed to get out?" He pulled the key out of the ignition and threw it at me, then opened the door and managed to get past the tree!

This was in New York. lol

Amazingly, he did pass me.

I was third time lucky. However I still don’t know how to drive, I can’t parallel park and I’ve only learned to reverse between two cars in my driveway over the last 3 years and I passed my driving test 16 years ago.

I passed second time after taking a year off. The first time the guy clearly didn’t like me. He kept me out for 45 minutes before I made a mistake that he could fail me for. My driving instructor thought we’d broken down or crashed 😔

I passed it on the first try but I was driving without a license for years. Only reason I got one was because my job required everyone to update there information and they needed a one on file.

First time. I irritated the examiner because she asked me a question and I began reciting what I read in the driver book.

Imagine watching a person as they try to visualize and then say what they read exactly from the book…

She asked… can you turn left on red?

I said…

Yes…

To complete a left hand turn if you have already entered the intersection prior to a yellow.


Also when turning on to a one way street where no sign prohibits such a turn.

She rolled her eyes at me and signed my licence….

Still counts!!!

Passed car test 1st time. Passed coach test at 3rd attempt. 2nd attempt failed on a technicality. Having 2 different instructors confused me.

I passed on my first try at walking there. Driving was another story. 🙂

Once. And then I got my license suspended indefinitely on the first day I had it. I’ve never been accused of being super smart. 🤷‍♀

Never bothered, I'd need to go a year without a seizure and that hasn't happened since I was 14.

First try. I knew I was going to fail because I couldn't parallel park but when I got back to the testing station there were two parking spaces and i pulled in with no problem. Never did learn how to parallel park.

I don't know I was riding my pterodactyl at the time

I only have a motor scooter driver's license. I passed at the first try, but it wasn't really difficult.

Once

One. I was driving in the ruts at farm the by 12.By 14 I was driving a tractor and plowing. By my16th birthday, I was a seasoned driver.

Two. I still maintain that the mistake I made during the first one was perfectly understandable. What happened was, I was told to make a right turn at an intersection, and the road was so narrow I didn't notice that there was a turn lane.

The actual driving test i passed first time. The written part i wrote a few times not because i didnt get it but because of the tricky wording and stupidly written questions.
