All the Aboriginals I have encountered have called me 'John' or 'John's son.' (John's my Dad's name.) Which in the town I grew up in, that's to be expected, but when I moved to the city I got it there too from people I didn't know.

A long time ago we were at Loch Ness in our campervan. We couldnt find anywhere to stay overnight, so parked in what appeared to be an over grown driveway to a house in darkness. We went to bed and then there was knocking on the van. It persisted and we were overcome with coldness we could feel in our bones. We decided to leave as we felt very frightened. There was this one time where I found a bottle cap for a specific kind of beer, I don't even remember the name of it now, but I had literally never heard of that brand before. I thought it was weird, especially since I like a cold one now and again. But I just threw it away and didn't think much of it.

Later that day, I saw a commercial for that same beer on TV. Never looked the brand up. Never spoke about it. It was something that I and I alone experienced. But to this day that marks the one and only occasion I've ever seen an ad for that brand of beer.

It's just one of those things that make you wonder if you're actually living in a simulation
