What's the weirdest thing thats ever happened to you?

As a child people would always ask me do you have a sister named Mary? My whole life I've gotton that question. One lady stopped me one day and said is your name Mary? Mary Boothe? I said no but people always ask if she's my sister, she replied, you guys could be twins. Im from Texas, So one summer i went to Louisiana, Shreveport i have siblings there so we went to see them. My nephews and i went to a corner store, and a guy was coming out of the store and he stops me says Is your name Mary? That's creepy i was in a different state. Damn does everybody know Mary!

There was this one time where I found a bottle cap for a specific kind of beer, I don't even remember the name of it now, but I had literally never heard of that brand before. I thought it was weird, especially since I like a cold one now and again. But I just threw it away and didn't think much of it.

Later that day, I saw a commercial for that same beer on TV. Never looked the brand up. Never spoke about it. It was something that I and I alone experienced. But to this day that marks the one and only occasion I've ever seen an ad for that brand of beer.

It's just one of those things that make you wonder if you're actually living in a simulation

@TinyViolins If you spoke the beer name out loud, and had your phone on you, that might explain it. We are all being monitored and what you say is used for advertising just for you.

@JamesBugman Never spoke it out loud. Just saw it with my eyes and threw it away because it was littering the little park I was in. That's what makes it so freaking bizarre. Nobody had any way of knowing
@TinyViolins I try not to just believe everything I’m told. I let people be and who they are without interjecting my opinion. lately I’ve been hearing a lot about dimension slips and though I have my doubts it’s stories like this that make me consider them to be a possibility. It’s such a difficult to accept idea to me, but I’m starting to see validity to it.

@nonsensiclesnail There was one other instance similar to that where my girlfriend and I were talking about some product, I don't remember what anymore, but then the radio station we were listening to decided to play an ad for that product at that very moment.

I'm not telling the story right because I was busy driving and don't remember all the details, but it was way more of a WTF moment, because of how unusual it was. Both of us were just in shock, especially me since I listen to that radio station a lot for work and for my commutes and literally never heard that ad before until we were both talking about it.

Wish I could remember the details. I might have to ask her, but for the rest of the drive we were both kinda dumbstruck about how that sequence unfolded.

It's just odd little coincidences that make you wonder

@nonsensiclesnail i thought about that when i read what you said. It gave me mandella effect vibes. It sometimes feels like im in a twilight zone episode sometimes myself. I can think of something and not mutter a word and open my phone to a new page and theres tons of ads about what i was just thinking
