I'm almost 56, post YouTube shorts of me dancing/exercising & everyone is so surprised by my age. 55 isn't old! That's my opinion of course. What do YOU consider old?
I don't consider anyone old. No one can tell you if you are old or young. Each of us, ourselves, have to decide that. All the signs of old age do not matter if you have an engaging life to live.
As someone else said, the older I get the older old gets!! I know many over 80s who are very fit and active and sure dont look or act 'old' but i know as many 60+ who are very frail and have the appearence of a much older person. Ask me this question when i was 20, Id have probably replied 65? Now.....over 80....
When I was 18, I thought 24 was old. When I was 40, I cried and thought I was very old. When I was 58, I thought I was still young. Now that I’m in my 60s, I’m young-old, even though I feel 40 on the inside. It’s all relative to where you are in life.
@Carissimi Thank you for taking the time to say all of that. I agree with you. I just need some friends who think like I do. Everyone I meet my age wants to just sit around.
I was a birthday party for a woman who turned 85. She had driven herself there from her own house where she lives by herself (her family annoys her after a while). She was having a wonderful time, drunk off her ass in a great natured way surrounded by family, friends & neighbors. Age is how you live, not a number.
What do I consider old. Some people don’t age well. Some people do. The thing I’m more apt to notice is your mental and emotional maturity. I find it astounding how a good portion don’t mature much after high school.

@Madmonk I still laugh at the dumbest shit, and I'm old af🤣
You may reach a point where you feel you can no longer get on as well as you used to but then a few years later you can feel as good as you did 15-20 years before. I do as at 61 I feel as good as I did at 45 before a serious illness nearly ended me.
I’m not even 45 and felt immediately old the other day when I watched a recent video of Bon Jovi singing, realizing he’s pretty much lost his voice almost entirely yet remembering him when he was 20 years younger than I am now as if it was yesterday.
@SW-User I have some medical issues, but anyone can have medical issues. To me it's what we actually believe about ourselves. I tell my brain WHAT to think and it responds.

@Myocite I suppose it would depend on how debilitating those medical issues are. When they make it a great chore just to walk on a fairly daily basis and when you are on social security disability and can't work, old sets in fast.
That “old” label kind of slides up as I get older, as it has all my life. You’re only as old as you feel right? Okay, I feel old myself when talking to 20-somethings, but when talking to 30+, I don’t feel so old.
This day and age even 65 isn’t old that’s sometimes 5 years into retirement and you want to be in Arizona playing golf living in one of your condos 75 seems to be the beginning of old
@Myocite Neither do I. i guess they figure at this point in their lives they can forego that sort of thing. But i can't do it. I've been an athlete my whole life.
Strength is life. If you don't have the strength to move around, your quality of life really suffers.
@Coppercoil I'm not trying to be anything but maybe (hopefully) inspirational to people who are older or have physical disabilities like myself. If I can lose weight & keep it off so can others.
@Myocite thats great I lost like 60lbs a few years ago.. and started working out a bit too.. not all toned but I like my body now.. not ashamed anyway. You look great congratulations!;
