Does anyone actually enjoy managing?

Cause I can’t imagine anyone else liking it other than people that are on a power trip?

Can I get a different perspective?

Feels like babysitting to me 🤮

Gotta have good assistants...that means they're better than you but don't tell them that.

@MarineBob ...you are 100% right!

If you can find the order in it , it becomes easier.

I manage interns so it even more feels like babysitting. I have responsibilities, I’m also responsible of their mistakes. Interns do tons of mistakes everyday 😂 i have to TRIPLE CHECK EVERYTHING. some days im like are they motherfucking dumb or are they just learning ?
I think if you manage a team of competent and independent employees all should be ok
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@MethDozer Honestly they have a good pay for interns. But that’s possible. When I was an intern I wanted to learn and be super skilled so that I wouldn’t struggle later. Hell I even learned how to code to impress my managers… Im a web marketer 😂 not even a web developer

@Strawbsy Honestly they have a good pay [big] for interns [/big]....

So yeah, shit pay.. internships are usery
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@MethDozer Let me correct myself, they have a good pay… Intern or not. Reason why I’m saying this is because they earn 200 bucks less than the guys who are not interns in the company :)
We’re dealing with adults who are about to get their masters degrees

Well... It depends on what the team is like. In my last year in the Navy, I was "managing" a division of 60+ people. But my people were all very dedicated and motivated to a singular purpose. Yes, the individual team leaders needed coaching and there were "HR" issues to deal with, but in general I looked it a lot. Now in my post-Navy job, I'm in a sort of "player-coach" role and I have a team of eleven people. I like it, but I got to choose all eleven people. I imagine that makes a big difference.
It would be easier without people involved 😑

@pillowprincess awwww 🥹
I enjoyed managing the employees I hired. But I'm good at finding people who are self sufficient. There were employees I inherited with serious performance issues. That sucks.
Its like a fake job. I cant explain it but its a position that shouldn't exist lol. Its a placeholder for something evil and sinister.

@DarlingSelah omg I just noticed who you are….hiii 🥰🥰

It’s good if you can cultivate a positive culture, but if you’re saddled with a bunch of whiners and the professional victims it’s pretty grim

I enjoyed it because I had a great staff and my employees showed that they enjoyed their work.
It absolutely is babysitting!! The world is populated with temp workers!😫😤🤬

😭 It's killing me!😵

No, it's the only thing that's worse than being managed
Bossy types with no real personal power 😛
HannahSky · F
It's challenging. Focus on the bigger picture.
[c=359E00]i like bossing people around[/c]

Kiss asses and power trippers mostly.

Mamaging sucks. It's just usually slightly better than being managed. But it sucks ass because to really secure your job, you basically have to simp for the employer and screw your fellow employees. You can try and mitigate it which is cool, but at the end of the day your whole position is to wage a battle on the employees for the benefit of the owner. That's your job.

Really though....
Everything about traditional employment sucks balls.
