Does anyone actually enjoy managing?

Cause I can’t imagine anyone else liking it other than people that are on a power trip?

Can I get a different perspective?

Feels like babysitting to me 🤮

Well... It depends on what the team is like. In my last year in the Navy, I was "managing" a division of 60+ people. But my people were all very dedicated and motivated to a singular purpose. Yes, the individual team leaders needed coaching and there were "HR" issues to deal with, but in general I looked it a lot. Now in my post-Navy job, I'm in a sort of "player-coach" role and I have a team of eleven people. I like it, but I got to choose all eleven people. I imagine that makes a big difference.
