@MrVintage71 I think as a parent you usually know what's right for you and your children. I didn't smack any of my children because they are adopted and came from a background of pretty extreme domestic violence so my husband and I decided it wasn't right for them but every child is different. I don't think getting smacked hurt me growing up, sure I didn't like it at the time but equally I wouldn't have liked being grounded, being made to do jobs or having privileges removed either.
