I used to believe that unless I had people around me to celebrate my birthday, it wasn't really a birthday. I NEEDED a cake, and birthday presents, just like a little kid. My son has amply demonstrated to me that the cake and the gifts, and even his presence are just not happening most years...so now I make plans for my OWN tiny little celebration of my OWN special day.

I once believed that the commandment to honor mother and father didn't apply to me because I was abused. Now I know there are no exemptions.
I once believed that I could withhold forgiveness from those who wronged me in my life, and still receive forgiveness of my sins from Elohim. I no longer believe this.

Never believed much of anything wholeheartedly but these two I can no longer believe even half-heartedly.
