Do you think people just need to be angry?

I don't think it's about needing to be angry so much, but rather the anger is a manifestation to other things happening in peoples lives.

it's more about fixing the core issues, however that can be really difficult because it seems like the demands of life are becoming more and more just for basic things.

Like sleep for example.

Sleep works wonders for mental health and coping, but with the cost of living getting higher, people need to work more, not for fancy or prestigious reasons but just for the basics.
They have less time to work on core issues, like getting enough sleep, mentally processing, working through what they need to work through

it's like getting the sniffles is a sign of a weaker immunes system, but a weaker immune system can easily come from just being run down.

so anger, can be likened to the sniffles?
and if you don't take care of the sniffles when they start, you can get A LOT sicker

I like things like this, makes me think deep

To me emotions are very important. They're fast and accurate, they come right form the subconscious. The conscience part of the brain should read them like the gages on a car's dash board. We should ask why do I feel like this? But, this all depends on how much brain is present to assess and ask it's self about the emotional read out. Instead of teasing out data from our emotions the way we would a temperature gauge or radar screen, some just react. They don't have much conscious mind there to do anything else. That's why we call it chimping out.

I DO think some people need to rage.

I think it's why they come here.

Although, I think their rage is misplaced.

When one is discussing a topic outside of oneself, one is not personally attached to it, one can be objective, logical....reasoning of facts and opinions.

So why do they get personal and offended, and rage?
I wouldn't rage at you for disliking a certain music or type of dessert.

They rage because they need to
They rage because deep down - they are unhappy.
They rage because they wont change themselves or their life to be better - and they are angry at themselves and it. .....and therefore everyone and everything .

And they need a seed, kernal a root cause to use to germinate their anger.
And politics is that genesis

They choose politics specifically because you can find mutiple 'facts', but the dynamic is ever changing. They can bring up histories and events to fuel their argument, yet go off on completely different accusative tangents should you dissasemble their current argument with logic, (or other facts).

Politics gives them an unending supply of rage material.

If you notice, there are specific users who indulge in no other topics other than politics .

This grumping about is their addiction.
It satiates their angry beast inside .
Its a safe topic, (and place), to rage away, diffuse the anger bomb inside .....so they can face their unhappy life. (This is relates to what @Fishy was saying)
It means they can survive another day without raging at someone in their life.

(Maybe they lost their spouse and no longer have a captive audience to rage and throw abuse at anymore ?)

These are people who feel deep inside that they are losing ...and NEED to feel they have won


The rest of us dont really care about 'winning'.
We grew out of that need to decades ago.
In fact......we just grew, full stop.


These angry people have never grown.

And they never will.

This anger is like their opium or their booze - its their daily dopamine. Their addiction .

Its very sad actually.
They will be like this till they die.

Yes. If you care about people, you have to get angry about how some are treated. Using that anger constructively is more difficult, but necessary for change.

No, I think that anger is totally justified and understandable but what people really need is to have a clear and sober mind. Anger clouds reason.

How one expresses anger is important. It is too easy to let it get out of control.

I think many just need somewhere for that inner rage/anger/dissatisfaction to go..

anger is a coping mech for depression.

Some do, some don't...
