I'm sad to hear that the admins haven't blocked this,
I think sadly, a lot of the online radical right have succeeded in normalising a certain level of hate speech.
A lot of centrists and also libertarians buy into the 'both sides must be equally bad' narrative and also the narrative about the 'woke mob' silencing people. These arguments have been driven so relentlessly by the media that they had an impact So when there is any plausible deniability at all, people decide it's not racist. These days, the idea of falsely accusing someone of racism seems to carry more stigma than actual racism.
The language of 'globalists,' 'Cultural Marxism,' and 'New World Order are antisemitic, in origin at the very least. These are used frequently in online discussions in many places and it has become normalised. I also think that there is a general lack of understanding of anti-Semitic tropes.
I'm obviously talking about the outer layer of this stuff. Sometimes it really does cross over to some really vulgar stuff.
The worst part is you report it and the only thing that happens is it automatically blocks them while the report itself dies in obscurity, leaving them free to continue to spread their hatred.
@HannibalAteMeOut As far as the pedo content, they've explained why it takes a while. The first thing they do is contact federal law enforcement, which means they have to leave it up for a little bit as evidence.
@LordShadowfire @Fukfacewillie false nuno would never support it idk the reasons behind stuff but ill stake my reputation that he doesnt support hate speech
@TryingtoLava I understand that we might not know everything that goes on behind the scenes. If it were me running the place, I would implement a zero tolerance policy on the type of stuff these people say. The guy with the bow that is supposedly strong has told me repeatedly that he thinks the word racism was created by those evil Jews to counter legitimate criticism.
@LordShadowfire Then try and run it shadow by all means im not defending the inaction im defending the accusations you are throwing around baselessly that like YOU know better than anebody have huge implications if they stick
@JimboSaturn blocking them seems problematic because then they can just reinforce each other in front of less aware users. They get a platform without people to provide counters.
@Northwest having never met anyone openly so, it is a bit surprising to come across. I know a lot of bigots have gone mask off lately, but it's still not something I actually come across. It's such an insane viewpoint to me that I first wonder if it is just a troll or perhaps someone with a mental illness. Even knowing they exist it just boggles my mind that they feel comfortable enough to let people know that think that way.
To be clear, I'm not knocking the admins. Some of the offenders know how to walk the line with TOS and their allies will cry censorship about it if anything is done. It's not an easy problem to solve outside of the most blatant offenders. But we need to feel comfortable calling it out for what is it and shedding a light on it so that the rot is properly ridiculed and not set to spread.
I know who you're talking about. He's said some pretty awful shit, then denies being bigoted... I wouldn't be surprised if that ballsack was a Neo Nazi or a Klan member.
Always been the case. Nothing new. People just feel slightly more emboldened lately to publicly agree especially because Kanye made it a hot topic with his dumb remarks. Always been criticism of Jewish financial cartels and this causes hatred and resentment. I think that the Nazis had the same criticism of Jews.
@REMsleep Thank you for making that distinction. I think some envy must exist between blacks and Jews. The most hateful antisemitic remarks I get are from African-Americans.
@Fukfacewillie Doubtful. I am African American and in my entire life in my community and in my family Jews are hardly ever meantioned. My mom even worked in her teen years at the JCC and had only good things to say.
Its a non topic. But when I meet people from places such as NYC or Jersey or places where Jews have alot of influence and visible numbers I have heard some of these things about the financial control and such and how some of the Jewish business people treat others. Thats the main negative thing that I've ever heard.
I grew up Christian in the South the only things we knew about Jews was that they are God's choosen people. The only time Jew was meantioned was in the context of religion at church and it was in a good way.
Its also true that many high level people in African American music from the very beginning have always been Jewish. They invested in and sometimes took advantage of African Americans in the music industry for years and yes I have seen much of this topic in documentaries, movies about the jazz greats or rap pioneers, black music labels. Often a Jewish executive would make a record when others would not but often the deal would sour. So there definitely is some context to that. I believe that Kanye was trying to allude to this also. ( not that I support him because I don't)
Blacks have no jealousy towards Jews. You can believe that.
@pianoplayingsteve Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all have shared roots, so they are going to share stuff like that. Criticism of the faiths is not what is being talked about and I'm pretty sure you realize that.
@ViciDraco Well, I just want to make it clear that whilst I criticise Judaism and what some Jews do, it doesn't mean i hate individual Jews or Jews as people. Sometimes people don't make a distinction.
@pianoplayingsteve I'm talking about folks like Strongbow. That guy has literally made the claim that the Jewish people invented the words racism and anti-Semitism to deflect legitimate criticism. He will talk your ear off about how Jews control the media. Okay? That's the kind of talk that made the German people receptive to the Third Reich.
