What is America's problem with aging ladies?

Before a few of you open minded people say what?

I can't help but to laugh at all the age bigots in this nation especially when it comes to aging female celebrities

I will use Madonna as an example I remember when talented and pretty Madonna took America by storm in the early 1980's.

Her innovative music style and her fashions. You know she was the one who ushered in multiple ear piercing.

All the teen girls wanted to be like her. She was idolized by millions. Her music she never had a flop albums.

Her concerts were sell outs.
She was considered the Queen of Pop music during the 80's and 90's.

Comes to 21st century Madonna is aging not the young 25 or 30ish girl anymore she is now in her 50's wow why did she get older?

The remarks people make about her now is not about bad music she makes because she still sounds good.
If
It's about her age.I heard a YouTube commentary from a male, he described her as washed out.
A lady no one cares to hear from simply because she's worn out and old.

It's not just Madonna it is all the lovely female super stars of the past who are literally being shitted on by the public because they have age like the rest of humanity.

I even read a post about Pam Anderson because she lived to be 48.
To me she still is very attractive not much has changed her facially since her days on Baywatch.
But to one disparaging male he posted she was just an old hag who needed to disappear.

That's the final price you pay as a sexy shapely woman when your youth goes your fans begin to scatter

But it's all a part of American
culture.
Home of the age bigots
Thank God for modern legal and civil systems if we didn't have they probably would burn women at the stake for reaching the age of 40!

Great post! I couldn't agree with you more.

I remember when Madonna hit the scene and everyone was in love with her. I have heard the disparaging comments now because she is 60 plus. I'll tell you, she is still in great shape and looks great. My bet is, most of the people that seem to have a problem with her and every other aging woman are insecure aging men.

Psssst, for those of you that have negative feelings for aging women...we are ALL aging, no matter what we look like now. If fate doesn't cut our lives short, we will all get old and there will be people pulling you apart for it too. 😜
@Peapod you gave an ending worthy of a prize

@Starrysky , thank-you! It blows me away to hear the utter disrespect that is out there by people that are also aging...! Sure, we all probably have made jokes about older people, but I don’t get the personal attacks on their appearance.

I always admired Brigitte Bardot for saying "I devoted my youth to men. I will devote my old age to animals." She is an animal rights activist and I love that.
Sadly a lot of people seem to (still) believe that a woman’s worth is directly tied to being young and attractive.

It isn't just celebrity females either. It's regular women too..it's sad
If you are talking about music. First of all young people have no idea what good music is. They will never understand growing up in that era. And they can't be blamed for it. They are closed minded. Blame their parents for not teaching them. I actually love Madonna. She and Janet raised me and the rest of the 70 and 80s children. Taught me so many things along the way. I would say immature persons don't care for the aging ladies.

Its like that in the corporate world too...men and women.. mostly white men...once you hit a certain age you're expendable.... just the way it is.... and Pam became a skank when she went the Tommy Lee route

I don't disagree about older women still being attractive but you could have used a better example than Madge.....a bucket of talent in an ocean of ambition. The best thing she's done for the music industry is not release an album for years.
And yes lots of people bought her recordings.....lots of people buy Big Macs but that doesn't make them good food....

I would pick Jennifer Aniston. She's 50 and doesn't really look it
Is skeletor still making music 😁
