I’ll keep you company.
I drink Scotch once in a great while.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Starsandfire Back in the day before Keurig i drank at least 4-5 coffees before lunch and 2 caffeinated diet mountain dews after. That was a minimum and my students accepted me as a contemporary. Electronics is what i taught and i had to make sure i didn’t presume it was easy to learn for them. There is nothing more dangerous than a teen frustrated by learning!
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic 🤣🤣 wheee!! And yes. Thats so important!!
Pfuzylogic · M
@Starsandfire I was flattered by one of my wildest students. He was very smart and energetic. After i left my position he informed me that he personally questioned 13 of my past students and he informed me that not one of them said they didn’t learn anything in my class! 🤣 He was suspended 10 days for publishing an unauthorized school publication which included cuss words.
He also personally recruited at least 8 students to be in my class in his second year!

are you hypoglycemic or diabetic? I'm hypo and alcohol makes me depressed because it messes with my glucose level. a controled dose of thc in edible form is my drug of choice. shrooms also do wonders and have a long lasting anti-depressant effect lasting for months after taking it. DO NOT take my word for it, I am not suggesting to anyone to consume these drugs.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@reflectingmonkey I have no idea tbh-my husband would. I took too much basically and had...the worst time. Like a full on "I am going to die" thing for about four hours and I stayed high well into the next day. It's put me off edibles for life.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
@Starsandfire a few golden rules of edibles: :
1: never consume cookies made by someone, you can never know exactly how much is in there.
2: always test a very small amount when you have edibles for the first time, everyone is completely different when it come to edibles, and it has to do with digestion, nothing to do with amouths that they smoke. a heavy smoker might need just 10mg to be good and a light smoker might need 100mg. I have many friends that edibles hardly do anything, others, like me, need a very small dose and I used to be a massive smoker.

On a rare occasion I’ve been known to become maudlin over good friends and relatives, places and eras long gone. Alcohol is a depressant and sometimes has that exact effect. Could be I’m not quite done grieving. Dunno. But yeah it’s happened to me and to others I know.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@stratosranger that makes total sense. I drink so rarely I forget alcohol's depressive qualities for sure.
stratosranger · M
Best you can do is quietly apologize next time you see friends, family or whoever and assure them you’re OK now. @Starsandfire
Fullmetal · 46-50, M
Only if I run out!
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@Fullmetal I did! 😱 it's all making sense now!
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
I am a light drinker. I don’t get sad as the result of having some drinks, but if I’m already sad it makes it much work. So I’ve learned not to have anything to drink if I’m in that mood.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@Harmonium1923 very wise. Weirdly, I was in an excellent mood before and now have plunged headfirst into despair 🤔
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
I always drink to make me happy when I'm always alone inside a cocoon before I be open again. It's not the right time for me to social right now
jackson55 · M
No, generally just sleepy.
jackson55 · M
@Starsandfire A glass of wine before bed and I’m out.
jackson55 · M
@Starsandfire Maybe the answer is dont drink ?
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@jackson55 I rarely do
It’s part of why I don’t drink at all.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@BrokenAbyss It's not the best idea when you know you may react negatively. I won't for months and months now, now I've remembered why!
@Starsandfire it took me years of on and off till I finally said enough. Drinking is really fun. The satisfaction is short lived and so easy. Just not worth it.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@BrokenAbyss same really. I got into day drinking at some point and then realised I should probably stop. 😬 it's too tempting, but yeah, not really worth it.
HellsBelle · 36-40, F
gotta give yourself mental assault, like this, then you won't be sad:

DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Not at all, I'm a happy drunk and hate to be around sad or mean drunks.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
See, I was a happy drunk and then a sad sober 🤷🏼♀️😂@DearAmbellina2113
Strongtea · 22-25, M
I’m definitely not as fun when I drink. Hope you’re ok.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
Yeahh…not doing that again for a good while! @Strongtea
JennaHall · 22-25, F
Yep this is exactly why I don’t drink anymore

I get horrific anxiety
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@Selah Ugh, not good! I actually escaped mine for a couple of hours, so maybe this horrible sad is worth it 🤷♀️
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
I just get sleepy
Yes and it sucks
SW-User
Just sleepy 😴
BlueRain · 51-55, F
No I’m happy
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
It's a depressant so you need to be prepared for the hangover which includes a bit of depression. Think of it as borrowing happiness from the day after. It can be worth it, sometimes it's not. 🤭
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@MartinTheFirst just not headaches 😂
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Starsandfire Exactly! That's dehydration, not actually the drug effects
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@MartinTheFirst mhm! Drinking lots of water
Entwistle · 56-60, M
What do you mean by 'after'?
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@Entwistle well, I was a happy drunk and then I sobered up and got sad very quick.
bijouxbroussard · F
I have. Alcohol is a depressant, so it would make sense. It seems counterintuitive, but I try not to drink when I’m already upset, I just feel worse.
Hope you feel better soon. 🥺
Hope you feel better soon. 🥺
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@bijouxbroussard I thought I was safe because I was pretty happy before...but no! The glooms got me! Oh well. And thank you 🤗
DDonde · 31-35, M
Yeah some days. Especially if it's ever back to back. I try to make sure I don't do it back to back anymore.
Starsandfire · 31-35, F
@DDonde me too...my days of doing that are looong gone. I can't handle it anymore.
SW-User
I’m in the same boat
