Anyone else get really sad after they drink?

@Pfuzylogic Sure! I had disgusting pink wine this evening that I only drank because someone gave me the bottle 🙄😂

if it is Zinfandel rose wine that is pretty good stuff from California but i do remember taste nightmares with an old drink called champale, a lame combination of champagne and beer!
Cincinnati had some really strange drinks.

@Pfuzylogic nah, I forget the name but it was australian and extra horrid 😂. Champale sounds like a bad time hahaha.

Taste didn’t matter that much in my teens. The drink was there to cool our throats when smoking weed.
I dropped that stuff when i actually developed a palate for wine and poured my wine into a snifter! Amazing what a bouquet will do for taste!

@Pfuzylogic I’m sure! I do remember sitting in a park at night as a kid, drinking from a plastic bottle filled with about five different types of random alcohol my friend found in her parents cupboard, mixed with coffee and water 😂 so yes…I have moved on slightly!

we tried to avoid 3.2% alcohol if we could get an 18 year old to buy it.
Little Kings cream ale was big back then!
i do know my son experimented with a drink called suicides which was a mixture off all of the different mountain dews. I had to give them respect to be able to handle those.

@Pfuzylogic yeah we had a friend with an older boyfriend a couple of years after the plastic bottle concoction, who would get us alcohol. Peach schnapps straight from the bottle! 🤢😂 And that's a lot of mountain dew for sure sure 😂

@Starsandfire Peach Schnapps doesn’t sound bad at all. a bit on the candy tasting side of things but doable. i enjoyed my fruit liquor that was a prize for a chess tournament i won. That was much better than the typical trophy! 😅
i will confess to having a bottle of Absinthe which has the taste of licorice. i guess i am emulating a teen idol of mine, Vincent Van Gogh. I do still have both of my ears!

I only tried absinthe once and it floored me. 😂 fruit liquor sounds good! @Pfuzylogic

@Starsandfire Absinthe looked cloudy in the crystal and it clouded up my mind last night. It doesn’t take much. It didn’t have any of the dangerous stuff like before. I do love my licorice and has an anise flavor so it was fun to drink!
Daytime i do my flavored teas and with winter coming it will change to coffee.
still trying to figure out why drinks have a season with me!

Moved onto Keurig and the flavored coffees like mocha and vanilla. Not like when i was teaching high school and highly caffeinated! My adhd students had to keep up with me! 🥳

@Starsandfire Back in the day before Keurig i drank at least 4-5 coffees before lunch and 2 caffeinated diet mountain dews after. That was a minimum and my students accepted me as a contemporary. Electronics is what i taught and i had to make sure i didn’t presume it was easy to learn for them. There is nothing more dangerous than a teen frustrated by learning!

@Starsandfire I was flattered by one of my wildest students. He was very smart and energetic. After i left my position he informed me that he personally questioned 13 of my past students and he informed me that not one of them said they didn’t learn anything in my class! 🤣 He was suspended 10 days for publishing an unauthorized school publication which included cuss words.
He also personally recruited at least 8 students to be in my class in his second year!
