According to studies, most people (in the UK at least) are pro-trans and anti-discrimination. Support for trans people is higher among women than men.
There is a small section of trans exclusionary radical feminists (TERFS) who make the arguments that trans people undermine womanhood. As you say, it's ridiculous. The most important point to make is that trans people have negligible or zero negative impact on the lives of cis women.
There are not many of these people but they are very angry and committed. They also get a lot of disproportionate attention because they are platformed by the hard-right. This way, the right (who are usually anti-feminist on any other issue) can claim to be 'defending women'. They can't just say that they are against trans people (because that looks bigotted) so they gain traction and acceptability for their ideas by pitting minorities against each other. So TERFS get bigger platforms because they serve this function.

@Burnley123 Oh okay I forgot all about TERFS, I knew I was aiming this post at something specific because there's this whole women first movement going on as someone else stated. I've also seen similar views around the internet growing and that's why I decided to address how I felt.
See, TERFS are weird and their argument has no logical sense because neuroscience defines trans as having a similar brain structure to the gender they associate with. Maybe there is a biological instinct in regards to trans people, maybe they do literally define that way because there's a reason for it.
Even if there wasn't, I learned recently that denial of someone's reality is mentally abusive.
TERFS need to realize that trans women are women. They go through the same things as women, they get attacked for being feminine too, harder than biological females because they were once men.
You see, the irony is of this feminist (conservative) logic is that by hating trans women and trans generally, they're feeding into the patriarchical notion of womenhood.
By thinking trans women are inferior for being feminine, well they must then think that biological women are inferior.
You can date women and hate them at the same time, I've seen it many times. That's not feminism in the least, it's dog whistles.

constant clowns using the word "cisgender" to label normal men and women. Pathetic

@SatanBurger again read what i wrote. I said INCORRECT. Thats me saying you are wrong to assume that.
I am starting to feel sorry for you at this point. You are clearly very slow in the head

@Torsten You were very vague though, just saying incorrect doesn't make it so. You show an ignorance about biology as I've shown from multiple biologists and other experts why you're wrong, you think you're still right and if you're that dense then you do think in a stereotypical way.

I don't disagree with what you say but often Trans people have had to hide their gender identity for so long that we tend to go overboard with the femininity and some women feel threatened by that. Some of us may be unkind to women, same as some Men and Women are unkind to women, kindness has nothing to do with Gender Identity, it's a normal human trait that some of us have and others don't. I would like to hope that women would feel empowered by Trans people trying to emulate them instead of feeling belittled or threatened by us. I am lucky to have several female friends who've been kind enough to help me with feeling better about my feminine self and I would never do anything that would cause them harm, ever!

@spjennifer I made this post just to get it out of my system personally, I'm not trying to change minds. I was mainly irritated by how the anti trans community actually has the audacity to blame the trans community for them feeling a certain way. I mean, I only see that kind of behavior in abusive relationships and I will be damned if I EVER let someone walk away without knowing how weak they are inside. I will make sure to let them know that.
You got to understand, I been through abusive relationships so the whole recent viewpoint of the anti trans community triggered me enough to really hit hard back. I recognize abusive behavior, blaming people for how YOU feel.
YOU MADE ME DO IT!
Nah, nobody made them do it, they're just weak, thin skinned and spineless cowards.

@SatanBurger I feel sorry that you were treated that way, no matter by who. I was only trying to make you feel less angry 🥴

@spjennifer Thanks for making me feel less angry, it worked ☺️
Anti trans women being thin skinned is just a fact I was pointing out in my original post. It blew up however in the comment section 😆

@SatanBurger i csn only speak from my experiences.
And you have mentioned before about 'all cis people'....it mau have been an expression ...but its hard not to take it literally .
I get new information is coming out all the time, i look it up.
...but you must admit, many trans define themselves as trans first, before their gender.
For some ....its nearly all they talk about .
I dont define myself as cis first....i dont declare it to the world as an essentail first piece of knowlwdge you need to know about me .
Hell...i only define my gender to stop being assumed of as a man .
And yes...id be lying if i wasnt jealous that some get subsidised surgery and hormones.
God knows after the damage of pregnancy and such, the years of exhaustion of motherhood ....id love some subsidised augery and hormone treatment to get the body of my fresh feminity back .
But as a cis gendered women...im not allowed those financial breaks .
And you keep repeating 'thin skinned' and 'threatened' as if its a catch phrase or maybe its a thinly disguised insult ...i dunno , whatever.
And i dont mind the flaunting, cis or trans.
Its when a trans says something like "im going to be so much better looking than cis women could ever be when my surgery is complete, they will wish they were me"...
...one can kinda get pissed off this woman is using her trans evolution as a weapon for degrading other women .
Which isnt cool.
If someone is flirty or a slut ...thats their choice.
But to specifically use ones trans status to insult other gendered women .
No...thats just using ones gift of getting medicine and medical procedure that other women are not allowed for free or low cost....and rubbing it in their faces.
Itd be like being an immigrant, being given a job and a home...and then degrade poorer civilians for not achieving either.

@OogieBoogie I don't think it's right for anyone to insult anyone but hate to the trans community simply just for existing IS common and that's what the viewpoint of "trans women are making cisgendered women not feel like women anymore" comes from. Someone else on this same thread mentioned a movement called Women First that was organized by a far right nationalist group which are saying the exact same thing. These views ARE common with a certain type of person.
And yes they are thin skinned.
EDIT: Women Matter was the name.

@SatanBurger i just dont know why we cant be people FIRST.
i think this gender identity thing is a two edged sword right now ...its giving clarity, but its also causing bias .
I think too many 'overthink' it.
Gender IS an important part of ones identity ..but it isn't ALL of ones identity.
Its gonna take years for all this gender stuff to settle down.

This is endemic, among men.
do you know WHY do many men are all hating on gay fellows?
I quote
So you don't want to feel what your mom, your sisters, you wife. your girlfriend, your daughter and every female across your life have had to put with DAILY since they hit puberty
and yet women put up with this every day every where, and these tough guys cant handle it.
guess these fellows are not so tough after all
(full disclosure, I am a entirely Hetro white man.)

I mean look at the whole Lia Thomas issue. It's obvious why cis women would feel hurt and you're trying to oversimplify this issue with your post.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@MethDozer I think people think that she's not naturally talented because she wasn't winning in the men's league but honestly, she was transitioning for a period of well over three years. So how many years was she in the men's league? How many times did she compete? Numerous factors should be accounted for and not just "she sucked at men's sports and specifically went to women's sports to just spite females and win every single time."
It's a bit far fetched to be honest, for the reason below:
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/critics-accuse-trans-swimming-star-105659374.html
Like I said, nobody doesn't have anything to say unless trans women win and also nobody seems to care that trans males are in male sports and no one cries over that 👌😆
It's a bit far fetched to be honest, for the reason below:
Ms Thomas won the women's 500 yard freestyle race in 4m 33.24s. She came fifth in the 200 yard race, with 1m 43.40s, and eighth in the 100 yard race with 48.40s.
These were impressive results, but they weren't record-breaking.
A whopping 18 of those were broken by Kate Douglass of the University of Virginia (UVA), who now has the fastest times in US college history in the 50 yard freestyle, the 100 yard butterfly stroke, and the 200 yard breaststroke.

@SatanBurger yet you completely ignore their ju.p of over 500 places as soon as they transitioned.
Excpetions to every rule exist. Just because a woman beat their record doesn't negate a physical advantage over the collective base.
Nobody pays much attention to femalet
to male competitors because men tend to have the physical advantage over women. Henxe the reason we cringe harder over a man punching a women over the cringe of man hitting another man. Yes we can find excpetions. Rhonda Rhousy would beat my ass like it was nothing. But she would have a much harder time fighting another man of the same skill, strength training, and weight of a man.
Nor did I say she transitioned just to compete in a different class. I don't pretend to know the persons reasons or duffculties that led them their decision to transition. That is not my place. That's a logical fallacy attack.

@MethDozer As long as trans women continue to lose as much as they win, I'll always say it's fair. Come at me when they win every single thing ever. They don't care when a trans woman or male loses, that says a lot. My post is really relevant, all in all I'm please that I wrote how skin thinned losers are when they lose fairly.

@SW-User They are really good at manipulation. I've seen common people get swept up into that nonsense for that reason. I wish people could just find it in their heart to read about things they may not understand from different perspectives like the many things that make up gender or neuroscience, sociology and other things.
It says a lot about a group that society would benefit without them rather than with them. Imagine being that low as a human being.
....
I used to like JK Rowling but now she's just an ugly person to me. I can't even take her seriously if she feels like she's not a woman because of trans people.

Mmmm. I dont think its weak, the whole meaning of being woman is changing in the zeitgeist (rightly or wrongly) and many women feel like they are being put aside for this new meaning of womanhood. For instance, the barbican in the uk has changed just the womens toilet into gender neutral and there are many more stories of how women and the word woman is being disappeared/altered beyond recognition. Nothing wrong with having doubts about the course of direction and where this ultimately leads
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@gol979 What did we ever do before the invention of gender. Was everything just chaos or are things just are? Feelings are feelings, we give meaning to feelings even though they're not real but that meaning changes over time. It's natural.
So there's gender neutral bathrooms and now they're not women anymore because of that. Makes sense (sarcasm.)
If you have that fragile of an identity, you're weak. That's the definition of a weak minded person. I'd be willing to bet that their lives are full of weakness.

Some trans women...on here (not in real life), make a point of degrading cis women.
I dont feel threatened by other women cis or trans ...
But when i see a woman degrading a whole category of women with her own geder identity, then im offened - yes .
These people denigrate their own gender group and make trans people look bad.
Women should, as people should, be united.
Not trying to cut each other down.

@SatanBurger actually, you began this post talking about
There was no mention of an 'anti-trans community'
And my experience sorta fits into this topic, as i saw a trans woman make a post attacking cis women and trying to make them seem less of a woman than a trans one .
And When anyone umfairly attacks my fellow gender i defend them.
Its seems you are fixated on blame and accusation instead of coherent debate or discussion.
Its not my fault you werent clear in the beginning and feel the need to blame me for not sticking to a topic you never put in your title.

@OogieBoogie It's only the anti trans community which makes anti trans comments, you see it all the time on here, often from profiles that say other really bad things about not just trans but the gay community as well.

@SatanBurger some people just need to hate on others .
Its so sad .
Its driven by self hate.
Religious people do it in the most passive/aggressive way ...political people do it ....just coz they need shove their frustration some where.
I think its sheer jealousy.
They hate seeing people be free and be themselves, all coz they dont have the courage to be open hearted towards others, let alone themselves .

I think you’re being a bit harsh.
Fukfacewillie · 51-55, M
@SatanBurger I think showing they are obviously not a threat, verses harsh judgment, will create more compassion. If someone went up to a trans person and started berating them, that’s 100% wrong. Being asked a question and answering honestly should be an opportunity for dialog and understanding. The context is important.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@Fukfacewillie Well someone else pointed out that the people who started this whole thing was a movement by a far right white women groups so when was the last time a far righter just suddenly changed their heart because they had open dialogue.
I don't mention it but I low key aimed my post at this sub type because it's mainly them. I just don't think they can ever have compassion.
Though I do hope I'm proven wrong, I hope I'm wrong but from my experience people don't ever change.
On here even, a person could be outwardly wrong and I've never seen anyone have a change of heart.
I've never seen an anti gay person just not be anti gay anymore.
