i overcome half of it buy not looking at people until i really need to
out of sight, out of mind, is true!!

some sufferers have said this is avoidance but it works a treat for me

Well, technically speaking, I have a trace of it remaining. I've been chipping away at it over the last couple of years. I used to freeze, literally freeze, when I came in contact with certain social situations. It's mainly a matter of putting yourself in "harms way" to get practise in handling these types of situations. I don't think therapy can help unless you enjoy talking about it. You just need to keep practising so that you train to be able to navigate those social anxiety moments.

I wish I knew how to overcome it. I'm working at it but it's not easy. I don't even date Bec of it, which makes me feel hopeless sometimes. It's an awful feeling, anxiety. I'm determined to heal it.

I have kids so I have no choice but to go out and face it. I'm very anxious a lot of the time because of it though.

I also go to therapy once a week at this time

I only have mild version in the sense that I sweat more, feel tension in the body and get exhausted from certain social interactions. Idk if it actually qualifies as social anxiety but it used to be worse and improved over time by itself.

You have to put yourself out of your comfort zone, start small and build up slow. If you get invited to go out, go. You don't need to worry about what other people think, they are mostly just too wrapped up in their own worlds to worry about how you present yourself. As long as you don't smell or have any disgusting habits, nobody is put off. I have no advice other than that.

I've been unsuccessful at this.
I rely on God, I keep myself hyper focused on my task, I'm keeping to myself, and I simply choose to be friendly but NOT engage much

I just realized in school I had to do it scared or not forced myself to and now I'm pretty good at it.
Just take a leap get it over with
