Suicidal boyfriend

I've been planning on leaving my very rude boyfriend, however, I heard him say that he's still suicidal and has been thinking about it again recently. I know I've made some posts venting about his attitude, that aside, I once loved him so I still care a bit and don't want to add to his suicidal thoughts. He bought me a teddy to say thank you for being there for him, which is sweet. It doesn't change anything but now I'm depressed because leaving is what I'm working towards and this situation makes it more difficult.

You need to just be honest with the dude and say look this is over bro you need some help I care about you as a person I want to see you get better if you have to Baker Act into the crisis line but don't let him drag you down to the bottom
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@KingofBones1 I'm going to leave sometime soon while he's asleep and tell him in a text not to call or come to my flat or else I'll call the police, then block him. That's my plan.

Does he have any close friends he trusts?

If so, I'd have a talk with them to make sure they'll look for warning signs or be there even more for him, then do a clean breakup in the nicest way possible.

He is not your responsibility, but as a fellow death thoughts person myself, I know it's not gonna be easy either way.

Just make sure he won't feel abandoned, and that his friends are willing to atep it up for a while.

@UltimateDemiGoddess ofc. I'm always happy to help when I can 💜
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@LordBarbossa I've added you as a friend. Thank you for accepting.

My husband used to go that when i was younger (threaten suicide if i left) 😬 it’s hard to tell if someone is serious or not about their threats or even if they are how much responsibility one should take for them 😬 technically it’s his own choice regardless of if you are there or not .. i guess the best thing is just give him an earful about everything make him take on some responsibility instead of just self pity especially if he is habitually inconsiderate of you and your own wellbeing 😳 its nice to have someone who cares tho tho some dudes are like spoiled cranky overgrown babies 🙄 tho 😒
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@YoMomma I'm glad that you and your husband have matured from those times and are happily married. Congratulations.

My boyfriend is a spoiled cranky overgrown baby. However he will talk over me and refuse to listen or resort to saying I have no respect for him if I challenge what he says. I just cannot talk to him.

Check this out he told the mental health officer this "I'm not like everyone else you've dealt with, my condition will be different" then tells me "they can't help me I'm too intelligent they won't manipulate my thoughts out of being suicidal".

I didn't know what to say and didn't want to continue that conversation I knew where it was going to go - suggesting I'm disrespectful or belittling him.

He knows exactly what he's doing 🫩

I met a guy, it was ultra romantic at first, very compatible, but then I realized he was batshit in ways that scared me. I left him and he did kill himself. I wrestled a bit with blaming myself, but I also knew damn well he was not okay to begin with. I might have been the last straw, but I wasn't going to put my son and myself through his nightmare to save him. It's nature. Save yourself.

Throw the drowning man a life safer or go down with him.

He knows what he's doing. It's classic. My last ex would put me on a rollercoaster. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Up and down. Make me crazy and insecure. So I always came back to him. He isn't better or worse, he's messing with your head thinking about himself and what he wants. It's sick.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@ScreamingFox I'm glad you come out of yours and strong enough to do it on your own.

I'll definitely never pick a guy like him again.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@UltimateDemiGoddess I wish you the best. Take really good care of yourself 🖤
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@ScreamingFox thank you very much
Does he only bring it up when you talk about leaving him?

@UltimateDemiGoddess Okay I have to admit that men tend to do that.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@SinlessOnslaught oh no haha maybe some more than others
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
It's probably best that you just stay for the time being.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@MarkPaul yeah. Hard pill to swallow
Report to police
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Royricky09 I plan on leaving while he's asleep then sending him a message before I block him saying don't come to my flat or don't message me or I'll call the police.
@UltimateDemiGoddess first call the police
faery · F
Does he know you're planning to leave?
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@faery no. I don't want to have that conversation with him because he's very nasty and he's the type to sit me down and make sure it gets through my mind that I'm in the wrong. It literally hurts my head.
faery · F
@UltimateDemiGoddess I agree you shouldn't tell him beforehand. Just keep making your plans and when his mood shifts, split
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@faery thank you for confirming that.
Ilovelily1986 · 36-40, F
I would just leave him. If he ends his life that is on him not on u
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Ilovelily1986 you're completely right. I just need to action this.
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
He knows as long as he tells you that, you will stay.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@JackDaniels how can I know for sure? He doesn't know I'm planning on leaving
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
@UltimateDemiGoddess The only thing you can be sure of is you. He was this way long before meeting you.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@JackDaniels once again thank you for your advice ❤
SledgeHammer · 46-50, M
Take him to a strip bar, make sure he has plenty of single dollar bills,,,, then sneak out the back!
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@SledgeHammer that's a really good idea although he doesn't go to strip bars. He does watch porn though chooses that over sex with me

@KingofBones1 you're completely right. I wish I had a friend here to walk me out of his house.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Super manipulative on his part.
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F

@Levenrack I'll try my best. Honestly. Thank you.
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@UltimateDemiGoddess Sorry you're dealing, but at the same moment I'm not. Just imagining how freeing it will be, not always have this in your life.

Now I've not seen or noticed in your posts in the 3 weeks or when I started following this. That's showing me, you need to be cautious, but that doesn't mean its not there. Be smart and prepared. Incase, things go sour. Goodluck 🫤
UltimateDemiGoddess · 31-35, F
@Levenrack thank you very much. I am preparing myself.
