I believe I don't really know. But I know that everything has a spirit. I believe in nature and that science and magic are interchangeable. I certainly don't find god or the gods in leadership positions, I find them every where.
Not really but it would be pretty strange in my country to believe in God, like all the religious stuff, the book and such. I guess some people believe that "there is more than we know between heaven and earth" but that's probably the most similar thing you'll hear people say. I was really surprised that a first world country like America believe in such old stuff, but I think it's cool most of the time, as long as no one uses it to put anyone down. It must be really nice to believe you and your loved ones somehow stick around after dying, so I'm just happy if it helps people through tough times.
Yes, there is only one God and rest everything is fake, everything. No God can name himself. The point that every other God has a name is totally fake. It's the people who named them.
No. A world in which animals literally rip each other alive to eat, children are brutalized, disease tortures people, war is nonstop, etc means that an all knowing all powerful god is a sadistic maniac. So I sincerely hope that there is not one.
@JonLosAngeles66 That's my main reason I'm agnostic.. Little kids are murdered, suffer, etc .and I myself went through hell for years growing up. You wonder if God is omnipotent, why would he allow suffering to continue.? 🙁

@kodiac It's just mind boggling to me the suffering some go through, or have gone through, that makes me really question a God who is supposed to love everyone and have the power for anything in this universe. I'm unsure the true meaning in that much pain, especially for kids. 😟
Dawkins later wrote this as part of a foreword to another author's book.
“Couldn’t an apologist come up with a similar list of virtues, backed up by an even larger list of supporting verses? Couldn’t the apologist compile a counter to my damning litany? “The God of the Old Testament is … magnanimous, generous, encouraging, forgiving, charitable, loving, friendly, good-humoured, supportive of women, of homosexuals, of children, freedom-loving, open-minded, broad-minded, non-violent.” Go on. Try and find those nice verses. Do your best. You think you’ll succeed? Want a bet?”
