In theory nobody has rights, all of what humans have are just constructs anyways that's why in certain cultures, certain things are more offensive than other cultures is because of those constructs. And in nature there is no morality nor emotional attachments.
However, this is just my point of view, from what I know of evolution is that diversity actually strengthens species, not weakens it. The less diverse, the more weak so having rights is the logically sound thing to do. Having rights for the betterment of people to thrive because a weak and sick society is an already dead one.
So we don't actually have rights but we should and I refuse to believe that it's okay to "not" have rights.
Not saying you're implying that but I do know some people genuinely don't believe that humans should have rights where as I think certain rights are innate and given for the purpose of evolutionary benefit.

Happily in my country that’s not the case. But you have my sympathies.

Actually true.
People think that their rights are inalienable.
But if a government swings to authoritarian, those rights are taken away.
The truth, what should mandate our laws is fear that if a right is violated, it will cause mass uprising. Government should be afraid of people, not people the government.

You could argue that rights are those which are demanded and those which you would fight for. They may be given to you by the authorised power, but they are retained by demand. A right cannot be taken away if you as a people refuse to give it up.

It certainly seems like it as applied over the past few years. But that was just wrong. Rights ARE rights and we cannot allow hack politicians combined with pharmaceutical devils to strip the rights of Americans ever again.

You get it.

Unfortunately yes

Yes we do, they are inherent. Certain people/systems may try to remove them but that is un-natural imo

That's what tyrants and fascists said before WWII, but we have the universal declaration of human rights - and we have your violent and disgusting denial. These are the two poles in politics.

I think religion plays a huge part in it. There’s no magical being that will save them.
Nobody has rights unless I either allow them or lack the ability to take them away.
But in everyone fantasy they are always John Wick cloaked in the armor of God.
I swear some Americans are the most delusional people imaginable.

It's kinda crappy that the president has so much power. Even then he can just shunt his own supporters into congress if he wishes.

Once the laws and the courts are ignored it's no longer guaranteed.. The law is whatever the executive decides it is..
