JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
Quaint little villages with old pubs in them. Estate gardens and a garden tour. I've been to Scotland but if I went to England I would try to find the natural beauty.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn oh definitely, you’d be mad to miss the main tourist attractions but I certainly wouldn’t spend too much of a trip there. The architecture in Bath where they film a lot of period dramas is fascinating.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Primnproper I would like to check out Cornwall, the Lakes District, Bath, I'm sure I'm missing many other places.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn just do your research it’s all here to be found..
Big Ben. heard he's hung well
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@saragoodtimes oh extremely!😁

I spent a week in England about 15 years ago and did all the tourist stuff in London. I got to visit a few family sites in Kent. On my next trip, I want to visit other family sites in other parts of England and visit Scotland.
exexec · 61-69, C
@atlantic59 Good old Nessie!
atlantic59 · 61-69, M

Primnproper · 56-60, F

Primnproper · 56-60, F
@slorollin that would be coo!👍
Stonehenge, Isle of Man.
That port city on isle of Man with the white buildings all against each other, facing the inland Sea - I saw pictures of it and it looks jolly perfect. And I know that place. I've never been in this lifetime, but it's an old familiar sight.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Roundandroundwego I used to live just down the road from Stonehenge when I was in Somerset. It’s amazing!
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
Those islands way up off the north coast of Scotland.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
[@ineedadrink@Aidankenny23 yes it’s the shetlands or Orkneys.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M

atlantic59 · 61-69, M
Famous rock star mansions and the winding roads where they crash their cars while speeding back and forth to parties and their local pub
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@atlantic59 thats news to me but you'd find plenty of that in small country villages..
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@Primnproper I should say their country Estates and not that they were hurt for too long, just that they smashed up their fast sports cars and roadsters... It was a thing in the seventies
The single Milfs

Maybe the beautiful nature...

That one river that's so thin you can jump over it, but it's actually shockingly deep and will drag you under if you fall in
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@sstronaut looks like you’ve got a plan! Lol
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
The Crystal Cave, where Merlin gets his powers.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Primnproper

Someday I should visit.

I am in the US. I grew up in Ohio but live in Maryland now. The only other nation I have ever been to is Canada. But that was just Ontario, which is like Ohio, but with French labels, too. And kilometers, liters, and Celsius. And $2 coins. And free health care.

The UK has all that, too, but no French, dollars, and is definately not Ohio. Some old parts of Maryland, though, were settled by English people before the UK even existed. I live in Anne Arundel County, named after Queen Anne.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JoyfulSilence wow that’s interesting, my mums sister lives in Canada they emigrated years ago, it cost them £10. Lol
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Primnproper

Northwest · M
I've been to the UK dozens of times, all on business, but now realize I never really visited some of the off the beaten path places that I should have...
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Northwest yes the more country villages are sublime.
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
Coventry where my grandmother was born and Liverpool and see the streets where the Beatles strolled and developed

robertsnj · 56-60, M
I have a handful of friends in the UK that use to live in the USA. Would visit them. One is an long distance road biker. Probably rend a pike and peddle pavement with him.
Really · 80-89, M
Came back and went for a nostalgic peek at my grandparents' house. It was gone! The whole street was demolished, made into a little park because of subsidence.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
You, you could meet my wife, give us a personal tour, play cards (you'll lose, because I cheat), and we'll spend a week of becoming lifelong friends.
Storyteller4u2 · 61-69, M
The historic buildings and castles, paths through the countryside and along canals, and God's haven better known as Beddgelert Wales once again.
Last visit was to see a family member so I spent my time in London. If I get another chance, I might brave a ride on the London Eye, but I’d really like to visit Cornwall. My friend says it’s a nice train ride ?
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard Cornwall has beautiful coast lines with the most gorgeous colours of the ocean in quaint little coves.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@bijouxbroussard It's a beautiful train ride from Exeter westwards . . but not very fast 🙂
devonman · 61-69, M
@SunshineGirl My favourite in this country.
Manneeds · 41-45, M

SW-User
Ancient ruins like Stonehenge, Hadrian's wall, abandoned castles
JustNik · 51-55, F
I would have to see Wistman’s Wood. 😍 we have nothing like that where I am.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M

Also pretty much any castles over there
AbbySvenz · F

Jack the Ripper's stalking grounds
All the Egyptian artifacts xD
Cassieeeee · 31-35, F
My friends
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
Stonehenge.

Mainly just coastal areas in every county, et al., preferably rural and somehow magically without throngs of tourists and wealthy second home types (which I gather makes Cornwall in particular a double-edged sword)

There are other places / aspects too (including more urban and frenetic environs certainly, and particularly the modern aspects of them, e.g., parts of the UK have some amazing modern architecture, whereas stuff like Tudor buildings for the most part does nothing for me), but the natural coastal landscapes are the first consideration by a longshot

Whisky distilleries in Scotland obviously (which for now is still in the UK I suppose), and to visit the small parcels of Laphroaig peat beds I theoretically own LOL

There are things I would like to both see and not see, like the expanding presence of vineyards, as I know this only possible with the global climate change that is ruining the planet as a whole, and will eventually for instance make it impossible to continue growing pinot noir in Burgundy

There are things I absolutely detest too, like holding on to monarchy, only a cult would allow it to continue
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@BlueGreenGrey love your input🙂
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@BlueGreenGrey well if you ever make it enjoy your visot.
