@TryingtoLava I was 6 in 1968. Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
JamieS · 46-50, F
There are several periods in time that I would love to visit.

1. Late 15th. century to invite Leonardo da Vinci out for a candlelight dinner
2. Late 16th. century to chat about oil colors with those famous old Dutch painters
3. Early and late 17th. century to try to play a duet with Mozart and have a cup of coffee with Galileo Galilei

There are quite a few others but those are definitely on the very top of my bucket list. Hope this machine gets invented soon.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JamieS so I see..
RenFur · 70-79, M
@JamieS

I can't imagine her demise was a pleasant one :(
JamieS · 46-50, F
@RenFur Indeed, it was not but she must have been a very interesting person to talk to at the time where she and her husband discovered radium and polonium in 1898.

Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn awe.. that’s lovely 🤗
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Primnproper He died in 82, so I always fantasized going out with him and having a beer and talking about things as adults.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn awe I can imagine..
Back to the 70's the age I would tell myself not to do the things I am doing now 😊
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@mindlessdrifter then it’s about time you stop beating yourself up over it. It’s a lesson, you’ve learnt it so chalk it up to experience. 🙌
@Primnproper Yes I have and do. Every day is a life lesson 👍
Primnproper · 56-60, F
I'd return to the 1930's/1940's.

It was a time of transition. I'd like to be just another face in the crowd, gazing in wonder as it unfolds.
In all it's triumphs and defeat, and positive development; the foundations of modern day were born.

Where all that we know now, was revolutionary and new.

The golden age of radio, & the advent of Art Deco industrial design, turned out masterpices to behold. Fine automobiles, towers of brick & steel; and velvet voices on Decca Records, were sold.

I'd like to stand on Lexington Ave., watching the finishing touches laid on the Chrysler Building, its spire, and shimmering dome.

Stroll the pier, as the dapper dressed gentleman. Watch ocean liners underway, and hear a steam whistle moan.

Take in a late night; the contrasts of the Bowery --. its chimneys, wash lines, and tired brownstone. Then cut through Riverside, & find myself in a cozy eatery over something hot. With a lamplighter outside, touching his torch to a globe.

Then late evening, retire to the sitting room with family around the Victrola. Listening to Glenn Miller or Count Basie - live - from the Pennsylvania Hotel, Rouge Room.

Back to an age when dressing for dinner, & tipping your hat were expected. Attending the "Cinema" was an event; & civility, and old world sensiibilties, were revered and respected.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@SethGreene531 definitely does sound liberating.
DerSilberneKonig1 · 22-25, M
Back to my childhood in attempt to fix things before they went wrong. I don't need a specific time, I don't care about material objects or money. And honestly, regardless of the period, theyd all have there ups and downs, nothing is perfect, and nothing ever will be. But instead of trying to make new friendships, There are soem friends i can no longer see because they arent here anymore, and even just a chance to see them again, even if it was one last time, I'd gladly take.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@DerSilberneKonig1 that makes sense to me.👍
JustNik · 51-55, F
Most of history was only a little kind to a few women so I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere for long, but I’d love to pop around and see the things that lasted, either physically or in legend, when they were new and it would really be neat to just go for a walk all over time and see and hear and probably often try not to smell. 😂
JustNik · 51-55, F
@Primnproper YES! I’ve been on a roll of history audiobooks that all approach it from a different time or place or perspective and it has been absolutely incredible and very very enlightening. 😄
JustNik · 51-55, F
@Musicman It would! 😄
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JustNik I bet!

@AlchemyFox i was gona say that puritan culture was scary affff and randomly accused peeps of stuff like witchcraft cuz they were good at fishing
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F

losthorizons · 51-55, M
Probably the 30 or 50’s, but mostly def to about 6-7 years ago when you were out of your relationship, so I could be the one you met😁
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@losthorizons firstly stick to the 30s and 50s, both great eras and secondly you would have had to go back further than 6/7 to find me single and a whole other country let’s not forget. Never the less I’m flattered you would consider it. 😊
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
I would like to hang out with the Buddha so that I could meet @hunkalove.

TexChik · F
I am not sure going forward is possible since it has not happened yet. But going backward... maybe back to the time of Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, or witnessing the birth of Christ or his resurrection. Or maybe back to have lunch with Samuel Clemmons or someone else interesting.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@TexChik all great things to be a part of:

CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
How would that work though? Would I automatically have the money of that period and could move to a specific place too? 😅
In that case, I'd go to many gigs between 1980s and 2016.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@CrazyMusicLover hey whatever you want! 👍
Houdini · 56-60, M

AceOfSpades · 36-40, M

Primnproper · 56-60, F
I'll go about 100-200 years into the future.
Because I am curious what our actions have manifested.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@thinkingoutloud yes that would be interesting
eventtemple123 · 22-25, M
