What period would you travel to if you had a Time Machine and why that period?

I am not sure going forward is possible since it has not happened yet. But going backward... maybe back to the time of Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, or witnessing the birth of Christ or his resurrection. Or maybe back to have lunch with Samuel Clemmons or someone else interesting.
