Is it DM or PM to you?

It's PM to a grandpa like me

I go for DM because I do confuse PM with the afternoon and evenings. In the PM I don't want DM but I am fine to have DM in the AM if you get what I mean.

PM. Or if I want to live the old days of MSN chats, a whisper

Australians, Europeans and South Africans say PM, Americans say DM, in my opinion.

Over the years I've used both. Somewhere between the '90s and now PM morphed into DM.

Both. I mean if the person I'm talking to or the poster referred to them as DMs then I would also use DM so not to confuse the situation. If unsure I'd probably just say 'private message' the first time rather than using any shorthand initials.

I usually use PM but everyone I know uses DM so I'm trying to retrain my brain. 🙄
