Ok going over a number of other posts this is likely the problem.
You as a "NEW" user with the tag are under probation. That probation is likely to last a month or two.
Once that probation is over, you'll be able to see those users you couldn't before.
The length of your probation is also up in the air. Because that is reliant on your "reputation". This reputation is stated in the bottom of this FAQ link:

I know what they are doing. It's not a good system though. I know of 295 people that have blocked me! That's a minimum. I have no idea how many have muted me. Likely higher than the blocks.

To find out why. Here's a trouble shooter file.
1. Have you texted strangers in dm before interacting with them?
2. Are you posting negative things, taking sides on the war? Hating lgbtq or hating in general?
3. Are you having no posts at all?
4. Did you wait with getting a pfp?
5. Are you telling other women to stay away from male users?

I think i have it worse than you.
In many posts, i can see people replying to someone, but i can never see what that someone said. And i cant view that someone's profile either.
This was happening since the first moment i made an account.

@OldBrit in view that people lie about their ages, I tend to filter out below thirty, to avoid kids.

@SW-User I block all under 18 but regularly see adult profiles with a young age in the description. I tried reporting but that doesn't work so just use up my blocks on them.

Most of these answers aren't really accurate, for example, the notion that "new" member probation would have you temporarily blocked is bogus, and age range stuff is limited to filtering private messages out of your inbox and into your requests folders instead.

@BlueGreenGrey no, you can fully block some age groups too.
@NerdyPotato if you're referring to this, it seems like older people are presented with the option to block all content from under 18 people, and presumably younger people are presented the option to block people over 46, but I've never seen a mention of the option to block people in the middle (e.g., those in their 30s), and when you think about it, that kind of wouldn't make sense to offer any options other than at the extreme ends of the age sprectrum

@BlueGreenGrey that's the one indeed. The ranges that are offered depend on your own age. It's meant to offer the blocking of users who are "considerably younger or older". I'm not sure what the ranges are for each age, but 70+ may very well be able to block anyone under 40 for example.
