Would you rather have a rewind button or pause button on your life?

A rewind button. So I could laugh with my mother, ask her questions I didn’t think of, prepare her one last meal, speak with her in French and have her shake her head at my accent, play one last Brahms duet with her on the piano in the living room.

Even when you think you’ve said and done everything, there is always something, once it’s too late. 🥺

Pause. Rewind may seem tempting at first, but then when you make new mistakes it'll just get depressing

Have you ever read a book called The five people you meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom ?
At the end of the book the protagonist gets to live out eternity in his favourite event in his life.

Rewind so I can change the day I caused my sister's death

Maybe a pause now, this retirement lifestyle I could get used to!

I prefer the top-of-the-line model that has both.

Rewind and tweak a few mistakes I made yet end up where I am today but with better results. And not only for myself but for family members too. Oh how I wish I could do that!

Pause button, so I can take time to consider things more deeply. Esp. in high-pressure situations.

Rewind. I've played Life Is Strange, it was a cool thing.

But also I'm intensely curious and the opportunity to explore roads not taken is very alluring.

I would probably get in too much trouble undoing the stuff I've done wrong in my life, so I'll go with the pause button.

Rewind to 10 years ago, then keep rewinding it every 5 years.
