A rewind button. So I could laugh with my mother, ask her questions I didn’t think of, prepare her one last meal, speak with her in French and have her shake her head at my accent, play one last Brahms duet with her on the piano in the living room.

I haven’t actually thought about this. And this reminded me of my Dad. I was able to prepare his meals, took care of him on his last days but he can’t recognize me anymore. ❤️
