I smoked for just over 50 years, I think it didn't affect me as badly as some because I was active, biking and such. It started getting bad 10-12 years ago. I managed to switch to vapes about 6 mos. ago, my breathing is a bit better with the tar gradually clearing out,
I started when I was 17, that was 3 decades ago. A chain smoking Marlborian. Then I turned 21 and quit altogether. I do smoke a joint each night though. Guess it doesn't have that much of tobacco to show signs of physical damage.
@pride49 My grandfather lived to be 95, smoked Camels from age 12 on, and drank bourbon daily. Yet I never saw him appearing to be drunk. Funny how things once were.
@bijouxbroussard i also think about those health nuts who also die the same age as others. Congratulations, you lost as many days working out as you extended your lifespan. They should admit it's a grab for workout euphoria. Just like drinking or smoking. Idk..just an opinion
It shortens your lifespan by 10 years. You will start to look much older than you are sooner than most. Chance of cancer goes way up. You need to stop. Smoking is one of humanities dumbest things ever invented.
@kylee1992 Just start cutting back. When it is between 12 and 3pm, no cigs at all.. Then go 11 to 4 and 10 to 5 and keep going until you stop. It is gradual and might save your life, isn't that worth trying?
