Question for other long term heavy smokers...
Like 10+ year smokers... when did you start noticing any health effects and how bad were they?

My grandfather once told me he started smoking when he was about 12. He smoked cigarettes (Camels) and later, a pipe. He also drank bourbon. He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 95 and passed away, in his sleep, about a month after the diagnosis. Two weeks after telling me, when he said, "Oh, well…that’s the way the cookie crumbles, yes ?" R.I.P.
