If you could go back and talk to your 14 or 15 year old self for 12 hours, what would you say?

You can't share information that can be used for betting, like sports events, but some vague recommendations for something like the stock market or real estate is OK.🤓

I would sit with her and tell her that her mom is really struggling and to give her a little break because your dad is an abusive covert narcissist. That what you are experiencing is abuse and your father is gaslighting you to think otherwise.

I'd have a conversation about having healthy boundaries with people and myself and make sure I knew it was okay not silly to get help for feeling depressed. I'd also talk about neurodivergents and how girls can present their divergency differently than boys.

I personally would tell myself that the bullying will stop. That I was only bullied because people were jealous as I had potential.

Never to dull my light.

Focus on getting a decent education, connecting with the people that would help you to achieve what you want in life.

You're not an object or possession you deserve real genuine love, don't waste your time.

But most importantly trust your gut.

There are kind people, social butterflies and others that just need to make others life hell simply because they are miserable.

Accept and move on.

I would tell myself to leave and go live with my grandmother in another state.

I was 15 when I started dating my future wife, so I would tell my 15 year old self to take good care of her and to not be jealous of her with other guys. I would tell that kid to believe in himself and that he is good enough to compete on any level, academically and athletically. Finally, I would tell him that waiting until marriage is overrated.

When I was 15 I was sober from alcohol. I started at age 11, quit at age 14, then picked it back up at age 16.

One thing I'd probably do is encourage myself not to pick the habit back up. I could've accomplished a lot more without it

"Go to the doctor. I don't mean tomorrow, I don't mean sometime this week, I mean right now. Have them scan your brain and get this taken care of before it destroys you."

@AthrillatheHunt 😆 I hadn't thought about that, maybe a tiny bit too specific.

Buy the Honda Elite moped from your school friend a week before your 18th birthday, avoid getting the apartment with your third cousin when you're 20, and just move out and stay at the store when you're 27, avoid Emily like the plague, stay in the Portland area, transfer to Tigard if you have to.
@NativePortlander1970 "avoid Emily like the plague"... 😆 I had one of those.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 What is Tigard?
@Musicman One of Portland's suburbs to the SW of DownTown Portland, a fun city by itself.
