@Ceinwyn Line dancing is not what the Confederate battle flag is "all about". It exists because some of our states fought for the right to continue owning other human beings and funding the economy through their unpaid, forced labor. They were defeated, and the flag was later flown by white supremacist hate groups— much like the swastika.
Not me... I don't have ANY flags. Well... I did have a Union Jack key fob that I bought at a thrift store, back in 2015 that I attached to the zipper of my book bag as just a mere embellishment... That is until the zipper fell off while I was walking one day.

Mine is in the closet with other family items. It is a part of my family history, and I don't plan to ignore history, even if I believe defending slavery was totally immoral.
@Fukfacewillie Not at all. My ancestors fought under that flag, which is a fact and shouldn't be ignored. I don't mind finding the skeletons in the family closet.
@originnone That’s what is so funny about it. Being "woke" meant not being racist. So they’re finally admitting what many of us always knew—"Southern Pride" is white supremacy ? The slavery, the lynchings, the Jim Crow segregationists, systematic racism—everything they’re now trying to block being taught about in schools down South ?
@bijouxbroussard I don't know if anyone has the confederate flag on their state flag anymore, but when I was a kid, I couldn't believe it.....and I really didn't understand any of the things black people wen through post civil war at the time. We were taught nothing about it.
@originnone I know. Black History week (initially, then Month) came into being because no one was being taught about our history and the contributions of black Americans to our country.
I remember on EP a white poster insisting there should also be "white history month" even though that was the default U.S. History being taught already. I told him, "We’ve had ‘White History Year’ each year in every school !" He called me a racist and blocked me. 🤦🏽♀️
@Steve42 I'd take the "Stars and Stripes" over the "Stars and Bars," any day. But on the other hand... I'd prefer the Union Jack, the Red Ensign (The original Canadian flag) or the Hinomaru (Rising Sun) over "Stars and Stripes," OR "Stars and Bars."
Think you are worrying about a bunch of nothing. When is the last time you saw people with confederate flags burning down stuff and killing people. Now if we are talking black lives matter you don't have to back far at all to find thugs burning stuff and hurting people in their so called peaceful demonstrations which are anything but peaceful.
